It's really nice to meet someone from Turkey! I know they are called Lahmacun, but I'm just so use to calling them Turkish Pizza's since that's what there called here. :P That's wonderful to know they are one of the healthiest fast foods. They are always made from scratch, have healthy ingredients, and are cooked in the…

That's awesome you had one :) They are delicious! Lucky they are everywhere in Europe, so you can always get one. :P

Thank you. :) I found this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/calories/lahmacun-lahmacun-turkish-beef-mince-with-ingredients-grilled-then-lettuce-tomatoes-13321742 It says one portion, but it doesn't say what size 1 portion is. lol

A Chipotle burrito also has rice and a lot of meat in it too. So it's strange that it would be around the same calories as a turkish pizza. A turkish pizza is just baked in a little oven without oil or anything :)
-
Yeah I understand the crust has the most calories. But since the crust is really thin, that's why I think 1,000-1,200 is a good estimate. Also all the other sites I checked listed a normal sized one at 450 calories the most.
-
It does look similar to that! But the greek donair looks like it has a biggest crust and pieces of meat inside. :P The Turkish pizza has a thinner crust and minced meat.
-
Thank you Thank you, but you cannot compare a pizza to to a turkish pizza, they are very different foods. A turkish pizza for me is more similar to a burrito. The crust is like a tortilla. The crust is really thin, the stuffing are veggies, not cooked in anything bad like oil, ect. So there's no way it could me that many…

It does ha ha :P But it taste different, but really good.

There's no way it can be close to 2,000 calories. A normal one is 449 calories and the big one is about twice that size. So no more than 1,200 calories.
-
It really is delicious :D Too bad no one knows about it though. I'm thinking it is around 1,000 calories. It's difficult to have average calories from the searching results since they come in different sizes.

Thank u :) WOW!! Tried it on MFP and it says it's 1,529 calories :o I really hope it's not that much ha ha. Not sure what's right though since I get a lot of different result when I search other places.

Here is a picture for anyone that's curious :) http://s1337.photobucket.com/user/Womanistical/media/lahmacun-recept-turkish-pizza_zpsc1642c8f.png.html

Oh it absolutely is delicious! It's not really common in America, Cananda, ect. It's mostly common in Europe. That's why it's a little bit more difficult to find out the calories for it, especially since Europe isn't really big on calorie labels or stuff like that. A turkish Pizza dough similar to a pizza/tortilla, but…

Yes I did :(

Hey everyone! I would love to join as well. I started out at 240 lbs which was the most I've ever weighed. My goal is to get down to around 130 lbs. I've been dieting for 9 months and I have lost 40 pounds so far and I am at 200 lbs. :) I am still morbidly obese, but I am still working towards my goal and will not give up!…

Why are you eating so little, for your weight and height? Especially if your going to be doing cardio for an hour. Are you going to be lifting as well? If I were you I would start off with portion controlling and eating more wholefoods. Do cardio 4-5x 45 mins eat more calories & lift! Once you get closer to your goal, then…

I have got really great advice! :) Good idea to switch up my routine by doing cardio, strength training, and then cardio again. I've always hated jogging since being heavier puts more pressure on your legs and knee's which is really uncomfortable. The elliptical is so low impact that it doesn't do damage that running or…

No problem! You don't need the classes... if it was free I'd say jump on it! But if the cost is an issue, just find other things to do. I can't stress enough how important it is to increase the strength training. Especially for your goals and concern for loose skin, that's how you're going to tighten up! More muscle= more…

Thank you, I really am trying to be open to everyone's suggestions and listen to advice. I've learned so much by being open minded this last year and learned more than I ever knew. So many people on MFP are knowledgeable and have experience since a lot of people been through the same thing. So it's really nice so many…

Goodlife also has spin classes which are awesome! You'll only get out of them what you put into them, but if you put a good effort into them and really be there, they'll kick your *kitten* and you'll feel great. I don't like the RPM classes, I prefer All Terrain and Road Drills, but I have friends who like all three;…

I would look into a beginner lifting program. It will take a lot of the guess work out of the equation. Don't look at exercise as a timed event. You can get a lot out of working out for 45-60 minutes by doing the right things. [/quote] Ok thank you. I will look into a beginner program. It's don't really look at exercise at…

I have entered my stats into MFP and I also used a BMI calculator. So 1,400 to 1,600 is perfect for me. I do have a food scale and I always weigh everything I eat. So that's no problem. I do eat junk food every now and then since it really helps me stay motivated and I always keep within my calorie limit. I haven't gone…

I live in the Netherlands and I go to a gym called Fit For Free. I have thought about doing classes, but I really like using the machines on my own time, especially since classes cost extra. I have been incorporating a little bit of strength training so far. I like the elliptical because of the calorie burn, the lighter…

The stepper really does kick your butt! I can't even last 5 minutes on it.

The eliptical is one of the lowest impact cardio workouts. When I first started out (in 2012) I thought the same as you then I started training to run and I thought it wouldn't be so bad because I could easily do like 90 minutes on an eliptical. I was dead wrong. Running was tough and it didn't help me at all. Fast forward…

You don't sound mean at all! I've actually tried the Treadmill, Stair Stepper, Rower, Bike, and Elliptical Trainer. I didn't care for any of them really beside the Elliptical Trainer. It's funny because I use to be afraid of the Elliptical Trainer since I heard it was so difficult and I saved it for last since I was so…
