  • Thanks for the answers everyone. Wow I didn't realize how inaccurate they could be. I always heard that they could be off from 10-20%! I guess I will have to be more careful.
  • Thanks for the advice everyone! :)
  • Hey everyone, I'm 5'4 and I'm 24 years old. I started originally at my heaviest which was 240 lbs. Right now I'm at 192 pounds with a lot of up and downs in the past. But now I'm back on track and I have my motivation back. I would love to eventually get down to 130-150 pounds. :D Feel free to add me as well if you like!
  • You absolutely right! Every day, the main categories of my meals are fruit, protein, and carbs. I've always eaten a huge amount of carbs like bread, pasta, and rice. I always crave carbs and they satisfy me a lot. So I figure that lowering the amount is the best option rather than cutting it out. I'm originally from…
  • I actually eat 3-4 large meals a day and a small snack like a banana. I guess I'm more of a grazer. I always like to eat, so having 4 different meals really helps me. I tried eating only 2 large meals a day, but it made me a lot hungrier. Spacing my meals out a bit helps me a lot more :)
  • I will give it a try :D Thanks! It's going to be difficult trying to fit more protein in though ha ha. I will have to search for things that are in high protein besides eggs and chicken.
  • But you forget that I'm obese and I have 70 pounds left to lose sigh. It's possible I might need to set my stats to 0.5 lbs a week the more I lose.
  • Oh darn! I thought I was eating a lot of protein, but I guess it's about as much as I need. It's strange because I always try to add protein to my meals when I can and it feels like it's a lot. Funny since my husband and mother in law complain that I eat too much protein ha ha. I did a online calculator and it said for my…
  • I always log my grams and calories on a sheet of paper or a quick note on my phone. :) I always forget to add it in MFP or I don't see the need since I'm keeping track of it the same way. You can see in my post I weigh and keep track of everything. I don't eyeball anything and I get the grams/calories of every item.
  • Here is the site I found https://authoritynutrition.com/how-much-protein-per-day/ I also see it on a lot of other sites as well. I calculated my daily protein intake for today, and it was 67 grams of protein in total :D I think that's a lot for a woman, but I honestly have no idea.
  • I would have to double check what my daily protein macro would be :) I just ate a egg sandwich with bbq sauce and in total, it came to 18.6 grams of protein just for that one meal. 6.1 grams for the bread and 12.5 grams for the eggs. I thought that was a lot of protein just for one meal, especially since it says a…
  • That's exactly how I am ha ha :) It wouldn't bother me so much if I didn't have 70 pounds to lose though.
  • I think your 100% right :) Everyone here seems to think I'm doing alright and that I shouldn't worry too much. It's strange though since in the beginning, I use to stay at 1,300-1,400 calories and be satisfied. I have around 70 lbs to lose, so losing only 1 pound a week is pretty stressful and disappointing. It's…
  • I'm not sure if the sugar in the fruit would be triggering my appetite, but it might be worth a try to see if that's causing it. I've been eating that yogurt with fruit meal every day for over 6 months since I absolutely love it ha ha. I really don't like vegetables unless there cooked like in a omelette, so I will need to…
  • I admit that I eat a lot of fruit since I love fruit and it has a lot of great vitamins, but I also eat a ton of protein as well. The yogurt that I eat has some protein, the egg omelette with veggies is packed with protein, the pasta/rice that I eat have quiet a bit of protein since there whole-grain, the bread is…
  • Thanks for the encouragement everyone! At my height and weight, I'm considered pretty obese, so I would think that I could lose 1.5 pounds per week easily. I just feel like a black hole that's never satisfied. It's difficult because there are times that I relapse and gain a few pounds and it's discouraging especially when…
  • Oh wow that's pretty weird! I heard about the depo shot causing bone loss, so that's why they advise you to take calcium tablets as well. I'm originally from the U.S. and that's where I first started taking the Depo shot. I never any problems or warnings about getting it though. I just asked about getting it and I was able…
  • Wow, exactly the same situation as me!! :) It's horrible when your never satisfied and filling like a bottomless pit. I'm really happy to hear that the depo shot went out of your body quickly and you weren't ravenous after only 3 weeks! That's great to hear :) Thanks for sharing your experience.
  • I've been on the depo shot for 2 in a half years and I've lost 33 kg (72.7 lbs!!) :D I find that the depo shot has helped me lose weight easier since I don't have to worry about my period, cramps, mood swings, bleeding, or anything like that. So it makes working out especially easier since I absolutely hated working out…
  • Thanks guys :D
  • Thanks :D I'm really happy I decided to ask for advice since everyone is so helpful and friendly. I know the Depo isn't 100% effective but the chance is extremely low, although it is something I might check into just to be certain :)
  • That makes sense :) Thank you for explaining it to me! I got great news! It's only been 2 days since I've upped my calories, started eating back the exercise calories, lowered my gym time, and I already feel amazing! The first day I noticed a difference, but the second day (Today) is when I really noticed it! Every time I…
  • Great news everyone :) It's day 2 of me eating more calories and I feel a lot better than yesterday which is surprising! I didn't think I would notice the difference so quickly, but I feel great and i love eating more food ha ha. Right now I'm at 1,143 calories eaten! I have 580 calories saved for dinner, so 1,723 in…
  • I tried cutting out carbs and adding more protein, but I find a combination of the carbs and protein helps keep me the fullest for longer. I also find the carbs give me more energy and help me recover right after a work out. Eating nuts doesn't help with my hunger at all and I could eat a whole package while still being…
  • Yeah I am logging everything I eat :) I weigh everything on a food scale. You can see a example on the first page. Most the time I primary just log the calories and not always the macros since I go by how I feel. I always forget to add it in my MFP since I'm not always at the computer, but I log every calorie on a sheet of…
  • Oh wow so I really am doing it right? :D I was worried I was eating back too much since 2,040 calories seems like a lot! I was a little sad earlier since I thought I ate way too much. I can't believe eating that much is considered a good strategy and it's reasonable, so I'm super happy. I can see why I was extremely…
  • Just a quick question, A hour after dinner I was still pretty hungry so I ended up eating two apples (220 calories) and one turkey sandwich (240 calories). I ended up at the end of the day eating a total of 2,040 calories (Yikes!! I'm not use to seeing such a huge number). But through exercise, the elliptical machine said…
  • Thanks Kristine :) I ended up eating 1,600 calories in total and felt a lot better! So I will stick around 1,500-1,600 and even going to 1,700 if I'm extra hungry.
  • Oh wow that makes sense!!! I didn't realize it was advised to eat back all the calories that were burned from exercise. I thought you were only suppose to eat 50% back and the other 50% would towards a loss. That would explain why I was so hungry then if I had 500 extra calories to eat. But I thought the point of exercise…
  • I've been on the depo shot for over 3 years, so I highly doubt it :) I also think I would've noticed other symptoms by now xD
