Hey everyone,

Tonight were having chicken drumsticks for dinner and I wanted some help with the calories. I was wondering if the calorie information includes the bone or is it without? I weighed out two chicken drumsticks raw and they are 260 grams which includes the bone. On the package it says per 100 grams is 140 calories. So 260 grams is 364 calories. But I'm not sure if that's right since it's weighed with the bone and I'm not sure if the bone is suppose to be included in the weight if that makes sense.

Chicken bones are inedible, in all circumstances that I'm aware of. So I've always assumed the weight that is indicated is just for the meat. When I eat chicken on the bone, I weigh my portion ahead of time, then afterward weigh the bones/skin/fat that I'm discarding and subtract that number from the first one. To me, that's the only thing that makes sense.
