Help avoiding plateau
I have been losing regularly until last week. I think I might be hitting a plateau. Not sure if I should lower my calorie intake but I am at 1200 right now. Or increase my exercise, I already walk 3 miles a day. I do the 3 miles in 55 minutes and speeding it up is not an option I have bad SI joints but increasing my miles?…

food logging
So I logged for the first time today and I'm double the suggested calories. I'm new, names Michelle from Pennsylvania, and I've chosen the fasting 14:10 plan. I'm crossing my fingers. Anyone have any suggestions?

Missing a meal-didn’t log it.
I am new to MFP. Have been logging everything the past week and lost 13#! I am so excited to see where this journey takes me and lose this new diagnosis of “pre-diabetic.” I slept in on Saturday so missed Breakfast. MFP thinks I forgot to log it. Is there a “placeholder” of sorts? TIA.

What is going on with my body
Hi, I’m new here. I started a diet on March 31st eating on average 1700 calories/day and very high protein. I started at 325 pounds and I very quickly dropped 30 pounds, like in 7 weeks. I have also been playing sports with friends 2-3 days a week plus I work a busy job and chase around my toddlers full time. But since…

"One weekend ruined months!" - NOPE!
Just thought I'd post this for the people who have worked so hard, seen the scale go down, let their hair down for one weekend and freaked out to see months of progress seemingly wiped out in a couple of days. Friday 25 July 80.5kg/177lbs- Went away for the weekend for a 25km trail run, so decided to not really count…

Tell me it works..
hello, I am getting discouraged.. 19 days streak, strictly within my calorie allowance and NO change in my weight whatsoever. When should I expect to see some progress?

Progress pics!! Do it!!
It’s funny how I feel I haven’t even changed. And I need these photos often. I would highly recommend anyone doing this weight loss adventure to take photos. Even if it feels pointless. I’ve only lost 12kg (26.5lbs) in 12 months. Which is nothing compared to some of you!!!! But I feel it’s my little win. Not sure if the…

Anyone tried calorie cycling?
I've been reading about calorie cycling - eating higher amounts for 2-3 days in the week, then lower amounts but keeping a total weekly goal. Some research shows that it might help preserve metabolism during weight loss. I've lost ~80lbs now, but have another 50 that I want to lose (slowly, plan on it taking about 2 yrs…

Lowered calories and started to gain weight not lose
Hi everyone! I just wanted to share a quick update and see if anyone else has experienced something similar. For the past two months, I’ve been following a 1700-calorie diet while focusing on nervous system regulation. During that time, I wasn’t exercising much but maintained my weight around 147 lbs, even with occasional…

Big OverFeed Ruins Everything? Nope.
I'm posting this in counterpoint to the frequent "Fell off the wagon - all progress destroyed!!!!" woe-is-me "self sabotage" threads. I'm in maintenance, but trying to lose ultra-slowly because I'm a bit above maintenance range. Last weekend, I went to a weekend workshop with art buddies, and really kicked out the jams.…

I need help with the 1240 calories daily that my profile said I should have.
I am new to MyFitnessPal, I am 73 and not active and my goal is to get rid of the 7 lbs I gained. When I set up my profile it said I could have 1240 calories daily, I am not very active and I have been unable to stay at that 1240. My husband has been on MyFitnessPal a long time and ,of course, had no problem.

10 pounds
Ugh. 10 pounds. Through problems at work, other issues going on and whatnot, I let it go and gained 10 pounds over 6 months. We all have done it at some point or another. Now it's just facing it down and buckling down again for the next 6 months. 😒 But it'd be nice to just keep ignoring reality🤣

Would this have caused a weight fluctuation?
this is the sodium levels for my meal yesterday. I was supposed to be a pound down, but instead I’m a pound up today!

Back again…
I’m back… again. Weight loss has been slow. 1.5lbs a week. That’s ok right?! Weight loss is much slower now I’m in my 40s. I keep having to look at the graph to remind myself that I am actually loosing weight because it doesn’t feel enough.
