100,000 steps in a day
I walked 100,000 steps in a day on 30th September. I did this in memory of my little brother who I lost to pancreatic cancer this summer, and to mark the 1st anniversary since losing my mum last year. The first half of the walk was fantastic, plenty of energy and some great surroundings and views. The last 30,000 steps…

Second week no loss but gain
This is my second week dieting with this app and I have gained weight not lost. I’m quite a bit frustrated. I have hit my goals for activity on my Apple watch and stayed on target for my calories, so what is wrong?

Looking for friends
Hi everyone! I'm Barbra, and I'm back on my weight loss journey. I was here on MFP in 2019 and lost about 70 pounds, but then gained most of it back. I've been here now for about 4 months and have lost 44 pounds, but I really miss the daily encouragement. I'm 56 years old and have at least 75 more pounds to lose, so I'll…

Starting again and looking for friends over 50 to support each other
Well I’m back again after losing and then gaining back 30 pounds over the last year or so. I hadn’t lost all that I wanted to even then. In reality, I would like to lose about 80. I have been on this cycle where I lose some for an event or a vacation then proceed to gain it all back. I’m 52 now and want to get a handle on…

Hey 👋🏻, I usually never do forums but I figured this time around, why not. I'm 26, I've tried WW in the past and have always struggled with sticking with programs and calorie counting. Is this maintenance? Can I celebrate yet?
I just looked at what turns out to be about ten years of data. It made me feel a little bit better. Like most of us, I sometimes get a little frustrated when only looking at recent data. In my case, I had lost about 30 pounds to what I thought was an ideal weight. I maintained in a healthy range around that weight for…

Motivation and consistency much needed!
I am 62 y/o female and have crept up and up in weight, have always been physically active and still ski, horse back ride and go bicycling. No major health issues but I have noticed a decrease in strength and need to turn the switch on for better health. Finally I want to look as good as I feel!

Getting discouraged, how do you cope?
Even though I've lost 72lbs I'm still over weight. Just looking in the mirror I can't tell a difference now vs. at my heaviest. I'm just feeling frustrated that I've come so far and still have so much more to go. I get to thinking that I'll never be able to look how I picture myself in my head, because I've been overweight…

Why did you come to the conclusion to lose weight?
My story is a little funny. I was sitting in my chilly office with a small jacket on. I leaned back to yawn and a button from my jacket popped off and flew accross the room. That was my AH HA moment. What was yours?

Does teaching burn calories?
Hi everybody! I am back on the forum after a period of silence during which I lost my first 10 kg (30 more to go!) Many things have changed during summer, both in my personal and professional life. More specifically, I started a new teaching job and although I am loving every second of it, I am also finding it quite…

Fat college kid fixing his life.
I’m a 20 year old college kid. I’m fat, lonely, sad, and I’m miserable. I want to change, not only for me but for everyone around me. I plan on going into the field of law enforcement, and I don’t feel that people can depend on me if I can’t even depend on myself. I WILL change. I WILL be the best version of myself I can…
