Starting over…again
Just weighed in. First time in several months. I have gained back the 15 pounds that I lost over the past couple years. I had thought that I would never be at 200# again. I am going back to MFP vs Noom and Found ( both with wt loss meds). I don’t want to do meds anymore. I know what I need to do, I just need accountability…

I'm 44m from GA and I need to lose about 45lbs....why didn't I do this 20 years ago? That's a very good question. I think a group of friends on here to help stay accountable and for motivation would be a good idea. If anyone is interested just let me know, we can weigh in once a week or at least track our results on here.…

*FRESH START!* Weigh-in Wednesdays through New Year's Day, 2025!
Hello and Welcome! Although I post on other boards, I have decided to start fresh with a new challenge beginning this Wednesday, August 21, 2024, which is 19 weeks before New Years Day, 2025. My goal is to lose about 22 lbs. within that timeframe, which for me would mean an average loss of just over one pound per week.…

Just 60, but trying to keep going with my journey
Hi! After having had the app for a couple of years, I am just giving it a serious go. I am a father of three, and one of my kids has a learning disability. Having to balance a busy family life (luckily, my wife supports everyone immensely) with a busy job has led to many failed starts when I get fit, and then life takes…

UK based - New but been here before
Hi, I've recently come back to mfp as I need to focus and really improve my diet and lose some weight. I have lots of health issues and I'm pretty sure the excess weight doesn't help. I have Chiari malformation, COPD and lots of things going on with my spine! I'm an ex fitness instructor and PT, I run a circus school and…

Intro-ducky
Hey everyone! I'm Britanny, your friendly neighborhood wallflower. I'm a shy, insecure woman who's sick of living the same boring routine—like a hamster on a wheel, except my wheel is made of pizza and Netflix. 🍕🎬 I’ve decided it’s time for a change! I’m starting my weight loss journey because, let’s be real, I’m tired of…

2024 Cycling Challenge
Here we are, our third year running! Or, more appropriately, pedaling! Like cycling? So do I! This challenge is a simple one - ride 2024 miles in 2024! Type of cycle? Doesn't matter. Indoor, outdoor, don't care. As long as it has pedals (whether for feet or for hands) and wheels (virtual or real), it counts! Peleton?…

Where Has the Notes Tab Gone?
Hi There! Does anyone know if MFP got rid of the Notes feature? There used to be a Notes tab at the bottom of the daily diary that allowed you to create “Exercise” or “Nutrition” specific notes. I found this feature incredibly useful and used it regularly. It helped me stay accountable to myself and write out certain goals…

Self-care and Depression
Hey guys. When I feel blue (extra depressed/sad) I lose my ability to care about myself - ie, not logging food, not eating as well, not going for a walk or doing my PT exercises. My usual Christian practices lapse too & when I do pray it doesn’t help. Any thoughts on how to overcome this cr*p??

Will it be still a good Christmas if I don’t fall off the wagon?
Over the last six or seven years I made numerous attempts to lose weight. I followed trend diets and tried to copy what everybody else was doing. High Protein, low carb! Smoothies and juicing! You name it, I have done it. I am obese, morbidly obese. The highest weight and my start weight in September was 348 lbs. It always…

My 30+ year journey 82# lost > Goal: 100
Hi! I am Kim. 41/F/OG Fattie! Seriously though, I have been overweight my entire life. I first recognized it at age 10. Well, that’s when other kids started pointing it out to me, honestly. And if you’re reading this, you already know how that made me feel. At 10! That feeling, that girl, those words. They broke me, until…
