This is a great short video that shows how insulin works in an easy to understand way.

    When a family member was diagnosed T2 diabetic in the 80s, insulin was described as the key that unlocks the window so blood glucose could enter and be used inside the cell.

    The video is next step idea differentiating by impact/use of blood glucose in muscles and then fat tissue.

    It is part of the mechanics

    Beyond that info, I wish I had learned and understood also the things we can also do that help improve insulin resistance (difficulty using insulin in the body) beyond just adding more exercise.
