What's Your Most Recent NSV
My most recent NSV is taking a selfie with my daughter and seeing dimples again! I have hated how I've looked for so long and I actually don't hate this picture and my dimples are back. Can't remember the last time I saw those, I know it was when a Bush was in office! Even the fact that I was willing to take a selfie is an…

One Week Results!!
Hi everyone!! My name is Mandi and I have only started on MyFitnessPal for a week, but I am already seeing results!! A little background: I suffer from schizophrenia (and a few other conditions), which is irrelevant, but I am taking an antipsychotic which will (as many doctors have said) inevitably cause me to gain weight.…

Hi! I’m Nicki!
About a year ago, I weighed 370 pounds. Today I’m down about 115. When I started, my goal was simple. Lose weight. At the time, my mobility was incredibly limited. My back and hips constantly hurt. Getting down on the floor was hard. Getting back up without using my hands wasn’t happening. Exercise felt intimidating…

Living Life Alcohol Free
Today is day 11 alcohol-free. I’ve been struggling for the past couple of years trying to quit or cut back. I was drinking so heavily at times…many times I would drink up to a fifth of whiskey a day. I really couldn’t function. My husband would do the shopping and cooking, I would cancel appts, I was having problems just…

Let it GO! Decluttering (simplifying) your life of (people, places or things) success stories?
Decluttering and throwing away or giving away the multitudes of "stuff" I have or have had for years (without using) is really helping me so much in this weight loss mind-set. What I'm doing is, ANYTHING I have, that I haven't used in 2 years or more...OUT IT GOES. Now this isn't as easy as it sounds, but as I'm downsizing…

15 lbs down this year!
Today I hit an official 15 lbs down for the year!! Had been stuck/maintaining at 188 for the last 6 weeks, but was proud of myself for remaining below the 190s. This week something changed, not sure what, but that plateau broke. I weigh daily, and Monday I was at 187.2, and then the last two days I've been in the upper…

Success Story
As a 91-year-old Type II diabetic, I was shocked to learn on April 20th that my random glucose level had reached 216, a number that greatly concerned my doctor since a normal value ranges between 70 and 100. The doctor stated that I needed to address this concern immediately, and I agreed. As a long-time MyFitnessPal user,…

Fat loss (body recomp) journey
First post. Age: 45. Used to weigh 64-65KG at 160cm. Skinny fat. Got a spine surgery last Nov after 4 years of spine compression. Gained weight and couldn't stay active during this time. Right leg was mostly numb and pain permeated from the glutes down to my toes, with lower back pressure. Recovered in Feb 2026 and started…

What methods do you use to break a plateau?
I've been stuck around the same 2 pounds for about a month and a half now. I just last week made sure to adjust my calories down a little since I lost around 20 lbs so far and I think my deficit needed to be lower. But I still can't seem to get past this hurdle. I've tried to really lock in and make sure that I am tracking…

I finally reached my goal weight
My fitness Pal I started on My Fitness Pal as a class 3 obese person. Class three obesity was previously described as morbidly obese. And I was solidly in that category. My nurse practitioner suggested looking into bariatric surgery. I really had no interest in doing that. She then mentioned trying to monitor my calories…
