Hi all
Hi, I've been using MFP for almost a year, but am new to the community. 43M, and my overall fitness goal has shifted from trying to gain mass to general physical health. I've been a hardgainer all my life, and that's been a struggle. I'm trying to approach physical wellness with a different attitude so that I can focus on…

Delete Duplicate and Incorrect Foods
The number of duplicate and incorrect entries across all food types is staggering, and the problem continues to build, making it more and more difficult to log food accurately. It would be great if MFP would make moderating and/or cleaning up duplicate and incorrect food entries using an algorithm a priority.

Why do so many foods having wrong nutritional value posted?
Sorry this is more of a complaint. Don't people read labels when they add foods to MFP? The amount of completely wrong nutritional values baffle and annoy me. But on the good news side lost 5 lbs so far :)

Do I need to eat more calories when I do strength training?
I’ve recently started adding strength training to my workout routine. I do 3 X 1 hour strength training sessions a week plus 3 X 30 minute cardio sessions per week.

Why aren't you allowed to set water intake goals?
Water intake is a cornerstone of any fitness plan and should be adjusted according to exercise, weight/BMI, fiber intake, etc. How does a food and fitness tracking app not have this feature - especially when they want you to pay for a premium subscription?

Pancake Day!
I have worked my pancakes tonight into my calorie count - what do you all do on pancake day? Whats your favourite pancake? Do you make them healthier?

Scan nutrition labels
It would be nice if the app let you scan nutrition labels. Some foods, and pre-made meals do not have a barcode, but they all have nutrition labels. The app should be able to read those labels.

Capturing nutrition info from a photo
I'd love to be able to just be able to take a photo of a nutrition label and have MFP automatically add the information when creating a new food rather than having to type everything in manually. It would function similarly to a reverse image search or text recognition in a PDF. MFP could automatically map the data to the…

Fun Weight Loss Chain
Hey folks, I remember a while back, we had this awesome thread where we shared our weekly progress to keep each other motivated and accountable. Well, I'm here to kickstart it again! 🚀 I wear many hats – I'm a personal trainer, a nutrition expert, a single parent, and just a regular human. Yep, even us PTs can struggle…

Getting healthy after cancer.
Hi everyone, I just finished a two year battle with cancer and won! I am 6’3” and have weighed 210lbs for the last 10 years or so. Right now I’m 142lbs, lost nearly a third of my body weight. I couldn’t eat for three months, drinking Boost was all I could stomach. I’m on the way back now and this app is helping me eat and…

Foods logged vs Meals logged
When I go to Reports > Weekly Digest there is All-time Stats at the very bottom. Is the number under Foods logged meant for all the foods I logged so far or only for different foods I logged (so the food that is repeating is not included in this number)? I guess this is a number for all the foods I logged (including the…

Nutrition value of uncooked vs. cooked pasta
I just noticed that Fusilli Durum Wheat Pasta made by Combino (bought in Lidl) has a tiny letters below Nutrition Facts which say: A portion of 100 g uncooked product corresponds 220 g cooked product. But Nutrition facts doesn't specify if values are meant for uncooked or for cooked product? Now, if I make one portion of,…

Weight loss and muscle gain
Hi all, I’ve currently been on a 1000 calorie deficit for 7 months and have lost 92lbs. I am starting to weight train and wondering how many calories I should be aiming for per day as I’m currently between 1300 and 1600 hitting around 110 grams of protein per day as I’ve seen multiple sources saying I should be having 2600…

Hi!
I'm a 38 year old male who has been on a fitness journey for the past 2 years. I used to be obese more than 10 years ago, topping out at 250lbs, lost weight and began a healthier lifestyle which included cutting out gluten (found out I had a sensitivity). Then I had a pretty bad car accident. My fitness journey came to a…

Nutritional information corrected, but no change
Right then, I've noticed over the past months that when I correct the nutritional information, it goes uncorrected. Example: A few weeks ago I had packaged Salmon and scanned the bar code. The info returned on my mobile and while the name was the same, the nutritional facts were off. I submitted corrections. Sad it doesn't…

Splitting Added Sugar out from Sugar counts
I am tracking on MFP, and find the macro tracking usually useful. However, my diet is high in fruits and vegetables that have a pretty high sugar count. So I am consistently warned that I go over my daily sugar intake, then recommended to eat more fruits and vegetables. It would be really helpful if the app could…

Don't feel that hungry often
Has anyone ever noticed reduced hunger since the start of a weight loss journey? I still eat 2-3 times a day for nutrition and health, but I never feel hungry when I eat them. For example, if I have a protein shake with banana for breakfast, I don't feel hungry until dinner. Is this normal?
