65+ in 8 Months

Started my weight loss journey at 255 on January 1st. Weighed in this last week at 188! I was sedentary and eating and drinking empty calories, I had to rewire my brain to view food as fuel and not just for cravings. Motivation is what got me to the starting line January 1st, Discipline is what got me to 188. Keep going, you can do it!

I am proud of you of the hard work and dedication! It takes a lot for I am 65 and on forearm crutches for the past 12 years. The only way I can lose weight is mostly watching my food Intake. I started out 192 and now at 171 pounds. I picked up a book at a thrift store that said no sugar diet. I thought I will start here and lost 10 pounds before I even started counting calories. There is sugar in everything and/or added sugar. Boy! do they want you to get addicted. So, I started actually reading the ingredients on the packages/cans/bags. As long as the fiber count out does the sugar count, I use it. If it has added sugar I stay away. Watch out for these healthy foods/ protein bars. May have protein but how much sugar is in it. Sugar makes you sick and unhealthy. Mindset, focus, reading, and preparing your own food. If I am out and have to eat from a fast food I go to Wendys and get a small chili and sometimes a sub. Bless you all and I hope you the best!

I am within 10 lbs of my goal of 150. At my worst, I was 290, but with many stop and start diets, I finally was within 60 lbs this time. I am on day 390 of 1200 calories. I'm going to be 70 in October and this was my biggest bucket list item. I'm really grateful to myfitnesspal. All my life, when I had any positive dieting, it would be from journaling, and this app made that so easy.
