I (43F) started this journey in February 2024 at 260 lbs (6'1"). I have been walking 20-30 minutes a day most days (I try to do an hour on Sundays) and tracking my calories. Sometimes I miss a day of walking, and sometimes I go over my calorie goal. Today I finally hit my latest mini goal of 225, which felt like it took forever. That's 35 pounds down. I have been losing a pretty steady 2 pounds per month. Yes, there is a little fluctuation here and there due to cycles, but overall my graph just steadily goes down.

I know it is slow going, but it feels sustainable. My doctor thinks that if (when) I get off my anti-depressants, I will lose a little more quickly because they greatly inhibit my metabolism (I put on about 60 pounds after starting them). That would be great, but if not, I will keep on my steady pace.

I have seen some improvements in my overall health, such as I don't have daily heartburn, and I don't have bladder leaks when I cough anymore. I have seen some slight improvement in blood pressure.

Just keep at it everyone! It is not a race, as I have to remind myself often.
