Since the other thread got locked, I'm starting a new one.

"Remove macros" when logging an item.
This feature would be most useful when logging some type of entrees, and either only eating a portion of, or skipping entirely, some specific ingredients. Sample case; at a restaurant whose entrees have been entered into the food database, ordering a spaghetti and meatballs dish and only eating half of the noodles. Several…

Hello
I'm a 45 year old trying to monitor my carbohydrate intake for my diabetes. Just wanted to say hello there. 👋

Log meals from the recipe search in the plan tool
You should be able to log meals directly from the recipe search section ('recipes' tab) in the plan tool. Sometimes I want to search for a recipe that's not part of a plan, and log it without having to make a whole new plan to add it to.

Accountability
if anyone would like an accountability partner let me know. The more the merrier.

Volume Eaters Thread
I have recently come to the conclusion that volume eating is best suited for me. Eating mainly vegetarian means I can eat copious amounts of food and stay in my calorie goal. Are there others out there who do the same? Let's exchange ideas. Here is what I ate today: Breakfast, large shake with 2 cups spinach, almond milk,…

Making new recipe creation faster and easier!
When creating a new recipes where you enter the ingredients manually, can you PLEASE have an option to scan barcodes so they can be added so much faster? It is such a pain to add ingredients manually that could so easily be scanned (canned tomatoes, milk, pasta, etc.).

I'm back...
Several years ago I used MFP to lose over 100 pounds in two years. I felt great and managed to keep it off until my life went to… My husband of over 50 years developed dementia and it progressed fairly rapidly. Over a six month period I managed to clear out our home of nearly 30 years and sell it, buy a nice ground floor…

Trying My Fitness Pal
I lost 25 pounds on Weight Watchers but program is too expensive. I’ve used My fitness pal briefly before. Going to try out the free version for now. Need to lose at least another 25+ pounds. Any words of advice for this over 50 gal is greatly appreciated.

Some thoughts on "Starting Over"
Starting Over Since starting to use MFP, I have noticed a steady stream of people writing “starting over” posts. They tell the age-old story of “I tried and failed, now I'm trying again”. There is often an unhealthy dose of self-flagellation – as if beating up on yourself is actually going to help. There is often the plea…

How do you measure the amount of food you’re suppose to eat ?
should I buy a scale to help measure my foods by the gram so I can be on point? Or you guys have other methods?

Standardize unit of measure for serving
Having a standardized unit of measure for a serving makes extremely good sense. For example, one slice of pizza is different depending on the size of the pizza, aserving of lasagna differs by thickness, weight, etc. Serving sizes should be always by grams so that there is a consistency across users. It is very frustrating…

New App Update
I have been using myfitnesspal for 8 years and I am very disappointed. Does anyone else feel the betrayal I feel about the latest app update. They took a high functioning easy to use app and ruined it.😫

New here
Hello! Not necessarily new to MyFitnessPal, but new to the community. Anyone else primarily a home workout person? And the rest is work and things like hiking? Went from 240+ lbs when I started my journey, down to 180lbs a couple years ago, then back up to 220 over the last year. Some of it muscle though. I’m back down to…

Macros in the dark
According to an MFP survey, 88% of MyFitnessPal users say they don’t have any idea of how much protein, fibre, carbs, sugar and salt they consume daily. Then what exactly are they using MFP for.

Weight loss calories at 3000
Hi everyone, I’m having a bit of a dilemma with the calorie suggestion by MFP. I’m 22, male, 6ft, and 195 lbs. My goal is to return to my old weight of 185. I will say that I am very active, and I have my Apple Watch activity synced to MFP, but because the calorie number felt too high I set my activity level to lightly…

Capturing nutrition info from a photo
I'd love to be able to just be able to take a photo of a nutrition label and have MFP automatically add the information when creating a new food rather than having to type everything in manually. It would function similarly to a reverse image search or text recognition in a PDF. MFP could automatically map the data to the…

introducing myself!
hi!! I'm relatively new here but I hope everyone has a successful weight/health journey, currently working on weight loss myself >:) (5 kg lost, 15 to go!)

Add Day Start Time Adjustment
By now start time adjustment is a feature in almost every tracking app, and with MFP being the #1 most popular I’m highly surprised it doesn’t have the option yet. I’ve seen threads about it on Reddit dating back over 5 years, yet night shift workers (like myself) are still scrolling back to the previous day to make sure…

Copying meals
After copying a meal FROM an earlier date to TODAY, the display remains on the FROM date. It does not go back to show the copied meal on TODAY's date, which makes no sense if I want to edit what I'm eating today. Why would I ever want to go back in time and edit a meal I've already consumed? Usually what happens is that I…
-
Improve the food search diary
many restaurants and food companies (at least in Canada) have their nutrition or at least their calories per serving publicly available, MFP should be able to tap into that to populate the food diary ALSO, if someone is creating a new food and it doesn’t have any macro information, that should just be in their own personal…

Factor and MFP
I know MFP and Factor have kind of partnered. This is an image of the green verified nutritional facts for this meal then I attached images of the actual box any ideas as to why it’s so off
