Finally checking in

trying to get and stay fit in my mid-fifties. Feeling alone and isolated even though I know I’m not. Thought I’d drop an intro here to get connected.
I am learning to enjoy exercising again, with modifications for now. I go to a Barre blend class 2x week, and this summer an early morning HIIT workout twice a week. I’m learning to love working with weights and resistance training. I love running but knee injury stops me right now, and I want to be someone who consistently gets in an effective number of steps in each day.
I believe sitting is bad for me!

I love my cats and dog, gardening, creating art, and food!

    Everyone's always so crazy busy, it is easy to feel disconnected…

    MFP is kind of like leaving each other notes at a coffee shop we all visit - helps to know others are here, trying too.
