Hello! I am new to MFP, but I need to lose 100+ lbs and my doctor recommended this today, He says its an app he really trusts and thinks works well. I am nervous to try because I have struggled with my weight and trying to lose weight for many years and have some health conditions that make losing weight difficult. But Iā¦

Some thoughts on "Starting Over"
Starting Over Since starting to use MFP ā I have noticed a steady stream of people writing āstarting overā posts. They tell the age old story of āI tried and failed, now I'm trying againā. There is often an unhealthy dose of self-flagellation ā as if beating up on yourself is actually going to help. There is often the pleaā¦

Getting started AGAIN!
I am a long time but inconsistent user of MFP. I have had success in the past, but always seem to go back to unhealthy habits. I have great proven coping mechanisms, apparently I am not choosing them! I have put on 90 pounds since 2019. I am not getting any younger, so hoping engaging here will provide me with motivationā¦

Back again and needing accountability partners
My name is Rachelle. I've been successful on MyFitnessPal in the past (lost around 40-60lbs if I remember correctly) and just subscribed to the Premium version to try to get serious about it again. I've gotten the heaviest these last couple years than I've ever been in my life, thanks to two babies back to back and aā¦

Quick High Protein Snacks
I am having a hard time meal planning preps. Iāll eat my planned lunches but then Iām going to cabinets and pantry and snacking out of bags. Itās a true problem, I know. Welcome me, welcome you!
Hi all, It's Billie Jean, 43F, checking in from the Boston, MA area. I'd love an accountability partner to make it "easier". I've used this app on and off for years, always seeing the same pattern of up and down. I've recently succumbed to the late night snacking and packed on some pounds :-( I'm getting back into trackingā¦

How did you win the day?
I was thinking this morning - What if someone said to me 'I have the ability to make it so when you wake tomorrow, you are exactly where you want to be goal wise, all you need to do is live today, just today, achieving each of the things you know will get you there' - no brainer right! So then the lightbulb š”this isā¦

New again to the fitness journey
I am on a health journey and trying my best to keep going and not regress again. Things are different this time as I am suddenly a single mother after the unexpected death of my husband. We had been together for 15 years and he passed on 11/10/25. This leaves me and my son alone now. I have health issues that I'm trying toā¦

The myth of age and weightloss?
I saw a post about being older and it being harder to lose weight and easier to gain. When you look it up it says a 20 year old man burns 10 - 15 percent more than a 50 year old all else being the same. My question... is all else the same: When i was a kid I played games and sports all day. When i was a teen I played gamesā¦

Starting over again
Hi everyone, my name is Sonya and this food tracking app is the only thing that ever worked. I have gained nearly 60 lbs over the past year. I guess what I am hoping for by introducing myself, is to build a community to keep me engaged, honest, and motivated.
