Motivational support for this new dad!

Hey Everyone,
Recently started tracking calories again and ready to get to a body I am proud of!
My name is Jose and I am a 32 year old male located in Southern California. I am also a new dad and experienced some weight gain dealing with everything that parenthood comes with. I’ve been tailoring my workouts to adjust to this new lifestyle (Morning gym sessions, after noon walks with my son + dogs).

Hey Jose - saw your post and thought I’d reach out.
My name is Craig - I’m in Perth Australia - and I have an older Dad body with young kids.
I’ve made a lot of changes to my lifestyle around our family - that’s what you do. But I believe there’s always a way to get the right balance.
I’ve made significant gains in my health and strength over the past 5 months using this app.Some people say you don’t need to track calories. I disagree. Unless you really really know what the macronutrient breakdown is of everything you eat and drink, chances are you’re eating more calories than you are burning.
I feel weight loss is 70% eating right
20% training right now - lots of walking - and 10% managing stress - ie sleep - time with your family etc.I’ve been following the method of Dr Mike Diamonds on YouTube. I’m proof his strategy works. Maybe check it out.
One thing he says is the importance of commitment. One commitment I’ve made is that I won’t always have a great day where I get my eating right - we’ve gotta still have a social life! - but I won’t have two bad days in a row.
Our family went to Thailand last week and I managed to eat a lot and not gain weight because I focused on high protein and got up early to walk 2 hours on a treadmill before breakfast. So once you know how your body works you can manage it effectively.
Anyhow - glad to meet you and I can assure you with consistency you will exceed your goals.
