  • Today I can say I'm honestly grateful to come home after a hard day, relax, and just have a Dr. Pepper Zero. Having that Dr. Pepper Zero was the highlight of my day! I know that sounds ridiculous and maybe even stupid, but it really meant a lot to me :) I use to be a huge soda addict, drinking anywhere from 2-4 cans of…
  • My goal by Christmas/New Years is to be down 23.3 pounds :) Right now I'm at 178.3 lbs and I would love to do down to 155!! Even if I only lose half that weight, I will still be proud of myself!
  • Yes of course, Me and my husband do pay for rent, groceries, electricity, ect. That would be extremely rude if we stayed there without paying for anything. Especially since his parents really could use the extra money. They work really hard and it's expensive if another person is living in the house. But it would be nice…
  • By laying around everywhere I mean it's in the kitchen, on all the tables, in the living room, by the T.V., ect. It is in practically every room besides in the bathroom. I mean besides cleaning up the junk food from everywhere, the house would look a lot nicer. Believe it or not, I am in my room a lot of times which helps…
  • I have tried talking to them, many times. My mother in law is a bit old fashion. She thinks rice/potatoes/pasta are really healthy, best for filling up, and have not many calories in them. She even puts a lot of olive oil on salads or butter in the pan since she believes they aren't high in calories and healthy. Which they…
  • Sorry but you are joking right? I said in my post and other posts that I changed my lifestyle and eating habits to fit their preference. I never use to eat so much bread, but it's the only thing they buy and it's the only thing they eat for breakfast/lunch. So I eat it in smaller quantities. I only eat 1 slice of bread…
  • I'm 5'6 and I know 1,900-2,000 is way to high to lose weight. But that's around my "maintenance level." and the amount I eat during my off days to try and stay the same. When losing weight, I eat around 1,400-1,600. But I still end up gaining weight even if I do eat around 1,900-2,000. I do 93 minutes of exercise on the…
  • I know you can eat starches and junk food while losing weight. I've lost 64 pounds eating large amounts pasta/rice/potatoes every night. But I make sure they fit within my limit. I normally eat less during the day, so I can fit that large amount in my calories. I also have been eating junk food while losing weight. I just…
  • I know Meat, veg, starch, is a healthy meal, but you should see how much pasta/rice they eat! The portions are out of whack. They eat more starch then meat/veggie combined. It's hard to control the meal since every day, someone else is cooking. I do my best on the days I cook, but it's hard when they want me to cook only…
  • I do know what the problem is, but at the same time, I'm still confused. I don't think a small amount of junk food every few days would be enough to make me gain weight, especially since I exercise 5 days a week for 93 minutes at a time. It just doesn't add up to me. Especially since I'm not eating a lot of it. I know my…
  • Thank you for the suggestion :) I don't think I could handle Intermittent fasting, but I have tried calorie cycling a lot and read a lot about it. Some days I only eat 1,000-1,200 calories to save my calories for another day which is easy since my exercise does burn quiet a bit. I love the idea of calorie cycling, but it…
  • Wow thanks everyone for your opinion and advice :) It's nice to know some people are going through the same thing as me as well! You guys are right, I shouldn't worry too much until I reach my goal since who knows what will happen then or what I will look like. But it is really hard not to worry, especially when I see so…
  • Wow congratulations on losing 80 pounds! That really is amazing :) I'm sorry to hear that you still have some problems. I am happy to hear it has got better though. It really sucks. It just depends on the person. Some people have a lot of problems with lose skin and others not so much.
  • It's strange you say it's caused by genetics since there have been several obese/over weight people in my family, but none of them had the problem. My mom is heavier than me and she just has one stomach, what the heck!? I'm glad losing weight will help and I haven't been going too fast :)
  • Thank you for the DVD recommendation :) I rather train at the gym though since then I can get my work out completed in at one time and I have a membership. I can't really rely on when my muscle feels fatigued since they are sore and tired after 2 minutes LOL! I have been pumping up the weights when they become easier.…
  • I've actually never heard of a belly apron or panniculus. I will have to look into it. It's strange since I've never seen anyone else have this problem. They just have 1 big stomach, not 2 like me. I am young, so I have that to my advantage. So hopefully it bounces back a bit. :) But how the heck do I get rid of a belly…
  • Thank you :)! It sure isn't easy, but it really is worth it. Especially when I see the results! I really am a lot healthier than I use to be and feel better. I am using the elliptical 5 days a week for 60-70 minutes each time. I do strength training 3 times a week for 12 minutes at a time. I know it's not a lot of time,…
  • Hey everyone. A lot of people don't know what I mean by "muffin top" and they haven't heard it used in the way I'm explaining. I'm super curious what my problem is and I really want to know. So I'm going to post a ton of pictures to give you guys a idea of what I'm talking about. I'm really embarrassed and disgusted about…
  • Thanks for the advice and kind words everyone! I think your right ald783, that some of it could actually be lose skin. But hopefully it goes down the closer I get. I really am thinking about surgery in the future since it looks like some of it won't go back. But I will wait of course to see. I'm mostly worried with surgery…
  • That is true that a little more than 40 pounds is a lot. Just when I look at all my body, I wonder if that will get rid of all the fat I have. The fat on my thighs, stomach, muffin top, ect, looks like it's more than 40 pounds. But I'm hoping it will be a lot better and I won't have to wear baggy things. :)
  • I have seen muffin tops like that from wearing pants that are too tight, but I always wondered why it happened to someone if they weren't wearing clothes. I'm not sure if my body is shaped like that, but it is a horrible thought. It is strange since I've always wore loose baggy clothes, so I'm not sure how I got it. I can…
  • I really do need to prioritize what it is important, but it is a difficult pill to swallow. Especially since I've worked so hard to lose all this weight. It really hasn't been easy. I don't want to be perfect. I just want to be at a healthy weight and be "happy" with myself. Something I've never been until recently. It is…
  • I do make sure my pants fit my waist :) I really have been doing a lot of cardio since the beginning! I actually forgot about mentioning exercising since it's been something I just do 5 days a week and it's become part of my routine! Something I never thought would happen! I started for 7 months just plainly walking and I…
  • I'm glad to know how they come, but how can you cure them? I do have a muffin top when I have no clothes on, it's always there! To me it's strange you say that muffin tops come from wearing clothes that are too tight because I've always been the type of person that always has worn loose clothes. It's one of the reason I…
  • I've heard that you should give it a year before surgery, but I'm a bit skeptical if a year can actually make it stretch back that much. With as much loose skin as I have now, I'm terrified of how much I will have at my goal weight. Another factor is I don't want to stay that way with loose skin for over a year since it…
  • Thank you :) I've always had problems with self confidence and putting myself down. So the loose skin has made me so self conscious. But I feel so much more confident with the weight loss. I just wish I could wear shirts that fit me because I would look a lot better than wearing shirts that are clearly to big for me. I…
  • Thanks guys :)
  • That's very true! The only thing I drink is water/tea with the occasional cola zero. Before this though, I use to drink anywhere from 2-4 cans of cola just in one day! I was so addicted and I couldn't even function without on in the morning. It was absolutely crazy , gave me so many calories, and it controlled my life.
  • I think after losing 55 pounds, I understand that weight loss comes from a caloric deficit :P But I was just curious if water/tea had more benefits than hydration. Like working out can help boost your metabolism, make your endurance higher, keep you in good shape, reduce your risk of diseases, keep/build your muscles, and…
