I use the Lipton Beefy Onion recipe and its bomb. I use a small can of tomato sauce instead of the ketchup & water mixture. But then cover it with ketchup (like a frosted cake) before I put it in the oven. Mmm. PLUS I roast those tiny whole canned potatoes in the pan with the meatloaf & serve it with corn. Two starches,…

It could be a fit issue, and when you're ready for a new pair of shoes I recommend getting them professionally fitted. BUT! I used to have a habit of lacing up my shoes too tightly which would result in my big toes going numb. So I cosign on different lacing techniques. I use Lock Laces (elastic shoelaces) in my hiking…

We have canned tomatoes & various canned veggies, beans, stock & pasta in the pantry at all times. They make for quick and easy soups, chili or pasta dishes. I also have lots of frozen veggies and buy and freeze meat whenever I see it on sale. We usually have yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs and milk/almond milk in fridge at…

Designated hitter is not incorrect though...

Right now I am eating hard boiled eggs with avocado & cottage cheese in a tortilla. I make the egg salad ahead but don't build the 'burrito' until I'm ready to eat.

I train lower body usually twice a week and don't typically get sore. But I took a week off and went heavy last night and I'm sore today. I squat & do weighted lunges & hip thrusts among other things. When you are working out, are you working? Or just going through the motions? As long as I am putting in work, and…

I recently tried to make jerk chicken, and it really just turned into 'whatever was in the cabinet' chicken. But it was good and I made it again last night. I cover chicken breasts with paprika, a little cayenne (depends on your taste), cinnamon, garlic powder & Adobo. I let it hang out for awhile while the grill heats up…

I usually just slice off any browning anyway. It doesn't bother me. But I'm always down for a food experiment! Maybe if the container is the right size and keeps the avocado pushed down.

Hang on, I need to change my answer. Because even though I get crullers more often, my FAVORITE are apple cider donuts. We even gave them out as wedding favors! But since they're seasonal (the good ones anyway) I didn't think of them originally.

Sooo- theoretically, could I leave the half intact, remove the pit and just place it cut side down in an airtight container with a little bit of water at the bottom?

Maple glazed sounds amazing and I will have to track one down. Honestly being from the tri-state its the land of Dunkin Donuts, so I don't even know where the closest legit, donut shop is. That said my go to is usually DD's French Cruller, because it has the fewest calories but still hits the spot.

This. But also that. So-

It's not healthy but, mini marshmallows and chocolate chips. Haha.

Avocado & cottage cheese + chicken.

You mentioned black bean burgers. While not grab and go like a pre-packaged variety, they are pretty easy to make. I use this recipe, but I use less pepper & onion and add in corn that I roast in the toaster oven. (I buy bags of all of those veggies frozen.) You could always make a big batch and freeze them. It ends up…

I ran this one for a while. I was using the Bowflex SelectTech adjustable weights. They went up to 50 lbs each, and they were (and still are) good for upper body but it wasn't long before I simply couldn't hold enough weight in each hand to keep making progress on lower body. You may have to modify the moves, I got away…

Ah yes, the 'I Didn't Rinse Out My Go-Cup Well Enough' cleanse. I do it at least once a month! :poop emoji:

Our gym only has one rack. I like to squat first, and I'm pretty lucky most of the time- but other times I have to wait. I would always opt to wait over substituting some other movement. (I guess it depends on your workout, I do an upper & lower split so my lower body days are long, and there's a lot I can do while I…

I love this recipe for Garlic Shrimp With Asparagus and Lemon. I make it at least once a month, sometimes more. The sauce is really light but still very flavorful. (I don't bother with the lemon zest part, the juice from a plastic lemon works just fine.) I use a lot of shrimp and asparagus so I don't need to make a ton of…

Whenever I see someone ask about calories burned strength training my initial reaction is "Not as many as you wish it did". This being a very general 'you', as it includes myself. I still log it under cardio mostly just to keep track and to see how it changes my macros for the day, but when I see the number I still think…

Sounds like an arch sprain I had in HS. I had slipped down our stairs in socks and it didn't really hurt at first so I practiced on it. But the day after in the middle of a race it felt like I blew out my whole foot. Nothing I could do but tape it up, try to keep weight off it & ride the bike. Though you could probably…

Oh lawd. At first I thought, man, nothing but fruits & vegetables for a week isn't going to have pretty consequences. But hopefully those 'up to 8 bananas' you're allowed to eat on day 4 should bind you back up a little. And then they add in meat, but it's beef & not chicken or turkey, which seems odd. Everyone above is…

Me too. I was actually surprised that I preferred my shakes with almond milk. I use half 2% milk & half almond milk on the rare occasion that I eat cereal, so I can eat more cereal.

I've been eating Friendship brand 2% pot style and it's delicious. You're telling me the 4% is even better? It would probably be like the time I accidentally bought full fat Cabot Greek yogurt and it was like eating cream cheese. That one however, was not worth the 400 calories a cup...

Yeah but you still wouldn't know exactly what made up the weight, how much of it is crust/sauce/cheese. It would still just be an estimate. It would be helpful to at least include the diameter of the pizza, since most pizza places let you know how big a medium is vs a large. (Some of the database entries do.) I usually…

OP, I can relate. Sometimes a cup of tea can take the edge off. I've been drinking a lot of sugar free iced tea too (Wylers Peach to be specific) with dinner & after. And while yes, it has artificial sweeteners in it, I find it usually satisfies the sweet tooth that can creep up on me at night.
