That was fast lol. I usually give water weight a couple of days to settle down.
-
Use custom goals; if you know your tdee you can set the macro percentages in the diary to suit your needs.

Thanks, yeah, I've been playing with it for a couple of months now, but I'm happy with how it is working out at the moment. I try to have legs as far as possible from back because squats affect my deads, and arms really shouldn't be next to back or chest. I might consider a rest day on Wednesday to split it up, but…

Unfortuntely you can't choose where the fat comes off; fat storage is determined genetically. All you can do is lose it everywhere and hope for the best / work with what you've got. Best bet would be to split up your workouts so that you cover your whole body over the week, but give each body part time to recover between…

Water weight should drop off in a few days, 11lb sounds a lot so you might have gained some actualy body weight as well, but don't stress. Just get back to normal logging and it will go. No rush, no stress. Can't help with the other problem I'm afraid...
-
For me, since I don't eat out often I don't log it. I treat it as a cheat meal and get back to work the next day. If it was a regular occurence I'd probably be looking into trying to find nutrition information for the restaurant online, guessing portions sizes etc. I'm sure people who eat out a lot will have better tips.
-
Another factor is maybe, if you have been doing strength training, you are gaining some muscle or you could be retaining some water, lots of things could be happening. As you get leaner it become more and more important to be accurate with your logging, so make sure you are as accurate as you can be. Weight loss will also…
-
Out of interest, why would you want to lower carbs and fat?
-
Wow, some amazing transformations here. Mine isn't that drastic, but I'll add it to the pile.
-
I also recommend weight training. If you haven't done it before a lot of people recommend stronglifts 5X5 for beginners. Also look up body recomposition.
-
Sorry, but if you aren't losing weight you are not in a deficit. It's simple physics. Tighten up your tracking and you will most likely find that you were underestimating how much you were eating. Humans are very bad at estimating how much we have eaten.
-
You're eating more than you think.
-
Yay cinnamon! put it on toast, in coffee, in porridge, in shakes, in rice, in curries, in stir fries! Basically everything. Does nothing for weight loss though.
-
No... Here's a good article someone posted on my news feed recently on this: https://www.t-nation.com/blogs/stop-trying-to-look-like-someone-else
-
Good luck! Competing has been a dream of mine for a while now (mens physique, obviously not bikini lol). Still don't feel ready, maybe in 2018.
-
Yeah I can see a difference. 2 weeks is a very short time and fat loss doesn't always = weight loss. Keep going!
-
I've taken it for years. The effect is subtle, but I can tell the difference if I stop taking it for a few weeks.
-
Exactly, more people should do it this way: lose fat, not weight. The weight will come down eventually, but until then you are maintaining the maximum amount of muscle, or maybe even building some... Makes it much more efficient in the long run.
-
Personal preference. As long as you don't undo the entire week's deficit you will still lose, it's up to you to decide if the food is worth it.
-
Of course it's possible. Welcome, and good luck.
-
Neither have an advantage, work out when it suits you.

+1 for over ear headphones. I got some £30 bludio bluetooth headphones and they are surprisingly good, to say they are so cheap, and bluetooth. Great for running/working out with. I too pour water out of my head and they are holding up just fine, had them for around 5 months now.

I was such a bro in college; chicken and rice everyday, a bazillion eggs, protein shakes galore, all the supplements, eating 6 times a day, timing meals curls, curls and more curls, cardio; what's that? I mean it worked, but I'm way more efficient now... If only I could go back and take advantage of the high testosterone…
-
Yeah, big toe is a problem... ouch. Good luck.
-
Try to find a type of exercise you enjoy; my work out is my reward and I look forward to it daily. I hate rest days.
-
That is an awesome result. Your question has already been answered above (muscle is denser so you weigh the same but get smaller - google 'body recomposition'). I just wanted to say congratulations and keep going.

Health and safety manager by day, guitar teacher on an evening. I spend waay too much time sat down.

Huzzah!

Good job. I'd be happy with that. It's not an exact science anyway; as long as you're reasonably close you're good...
