No, lots of ingredients go into minestrone soup and different people will use different amounts. My minestrone soup would have a different calorie content to your minestrone soup etc... But my 100g chopped onion would be the same as your 100g chopped onion. Either log each ingredient seperately or use the recipe tab in the…

Most home made pizzas will have fewer calories than a bought one. It's the dough and the cheese where the bulk of the calories are, so make it thin crust, and go easy on the cheese. I've made mini thin pizzas using tortilla wraps for the base before, they're OK.

You'll gain some weight, then lose it again. A year from now the 7 days off will seem totally insignificant and you'll wonder why you worried so much about it. Just go and enjoy yourself. Get back to tracking when you get back.

Just don't eat breakfast if you don't want to.

Nice.

I play guitar, bass, piano and sing. I have a small studio set up in my back bedroom. I play loads of different genres now, but I grew up with rock & metal.

Emotionally distraught is a pretty strong term now I think about it. What I feel is more of a mild frustration.

I second this. Aim for around -1lb per week on average, if you lose more put calories up and wait a few weeks to see what happens, if you lose less put them down. Repeat until you find a balance, re-evaluate every month or two as you go and the rest of the time keep your focus on logging accurately. It can be that simple.…

I'm happiest when bulking (especially early on in a bulk), but when cutting (as I am now) I am constantly hovering somewhere between being emotionally distraught from monitoring / restraint, and feeling proud of my progress. I get comfort from the fact that If I really want something I can make it fit, and there is a…

Meal timing doesn't affect body composition on a scale that matters. It's just calories in, calories out (with correct macro ratios) over an average time span. Eat when it suits you best.

Put them in a wrap with some flavoured hummus. Toast with goats cheese sounds amazing... I'm totally trying that.

Heh heh... (M*m****m) Assuming a forearm length of 30cm, and a 90 degree bend at the elbow (upper arm is pointing straight down, forearm is perpendicular to the floor), what is the moment that a 20kg dumbell would apply at the elbow?

Rock those big calves, most people would be jealous. Only way to reduce muscle mass is to use the muscle as little as possible and be in a calorie deficit. But that's not normally a thing that most people want to do.

Definitely saving calories... I'd rather be hungry in the morning at work when there's no food around, so I eat smaller meals during the day and have the bulk of my calories in the evening.

How did you measure your bodyfat %? It's extremely difficult to get an accurate measurement, so I'd recommend using as many different tests and methods as you can and taking an average if you want to get serious about it. 10% is Extremely low for a woman btw. Like super shredded, almost dangerously low (below 8% puts you…

I like women with poor eyesight. Not because I find glasses attractive, but because I'm ugly.

Calorie deficit doesn't mean going into negative calories overall. You burn calories just by being alive; that is your Basal Metabolic Rate or BMR. This is what you would burn if you just laid in bed all day. You burn calories by moving around and doing stuff, this is called Non Exercise Thermogenic Acitivity or NEAT. This…

Looking at the maths, if you are on a -500 calorie deficit for 6 days of the week, that's -3000 calories. So as long as you don't go over your TDEE + 3000 calories (which would be very difficult to do imo) you will still be in a deficit. So if they help you mentally, go for it. But they aren't neccesary if you don't feel…

I've been veggie for about 8 years now if anyone wants to add me.

Fitness is unisex. I had a female lifting partner for years and we did exactly the same workout and ate the same things (in different amounts) and it worked for both of us in different ways; I bulked up nicely and she slimmed down/toned up nicely. Feel free to add me and ask away. Congrats on the weight loss btw, and…

Most people are just like you and are too worried about what others are thinking about them to notice what anyone else is doing. They are also focused on working out; sometimes I'll get in a zone and you could probably walk right up to me and wave your hand in my face before I see you. So as long as you aren't doing…

I'm 29 for one more month... add me quick! I'm vegetarian and currently cutting; trying to get from ~16% to 10% bodyfat by the end of June.
