  • If you are wanting to lose weight and not loose too much asset. You are gonna need to work on those pec muscles which means exercise. There are hundreds of "exercises" you can do around the house and not have to go to a gym.
  • Instead of Nutrition have you thought about doing Epsom Salt baths? Or massage after working out? I know my gym has hydro massage tables and on days when I work out hard, I make sure to hit the table for about 10 minutes.
  • You just have to be smart about it is all. My Turkey Burger including Bun and Bacon and sauce (depends on the sauce) and it's about 400 calories give or take. Keep in mind that it's not always a good thing to completely deny yourself. Just as long as you don't make it a habit. It's okay to have a candy once in a while or a…
  • I make a California Turkey Burger from the Biggest Loser Cookbook that even my picky kids love. You take Bacon and chop it up and add it in with the turkey Meat (I use 93% Fat Free), some type of sauce (I use worchestier (sp?) or barbeque sometimes) and add in seasoning. We have that about twice a week.

  • I just log the number of steps, I use Pacer and it's fairly accurate all around and it's a free App endorsed by MFP.
  • take into considersation that a) MFP does not take into considersation your speed or distance that you did, just time and that b) some ellipticals or treadmills don't ask for your weight. If you want to you can simply google how many calories did I burn? When I do 10 minutes on the elliptical at 8.0 it'll say I burned only…
  • I would like to join as well. My wife is wanting to do a 5k and I would like to do it with her.
  • Same, add me as well. I have kind of hit a plateau recently and am struggling to get off of the plateau area. Need some motivation.
  • I mostly do morning but sometimes I weigh myself at night too. I do that especially when I have worked out hard or worked a long time (I work part time event security so alot of walking and standing for long hours)
  • I usually do a Whey protein shake in the morning with Skim Milk, or if I have time, I will make scrambled egg whites (Crystal Farms all liquid Egg Whites) with Perdue shortcuts Grilled Chicken, a quarter cup of shredded cheese and 2 slices of turkey bacon. Takes about 15 minutes to cook all that. And it's loaded with…
  • you can always add me. I am looking for motivation myself.
  • I understand how you feel. At my work we do a biggest loser competition. And when I did it the first time my weight yo-yo'd for the first month to a month and a half then it finally clicked for me. I try to keep my calories in the 1800-1900 range (according to MFP I can have 2340). And once I figured how to make my food…
  • I love Turkey burgers myself, I rarely eat beef anymore.
  • I think it's all based on your nutrition. I found what works for me was increasing my protein exponentially. I drink a protein shake in the morning and I make sure that I have protein with every meal or snack. And yes I eat three meals and two small snacks a day. My snacks might be celery with peanut butter or Fruit…
  • If you need any help or motivation, let us know. I really started back about 4 months ago and I have lost over 30lbs myself.
  • add me on as well. I was just like you once, did this for a while lost some weight, lost myself, and now I am slowly finding myself again.
  • I look at it like this, I would rather eat my calories than drink them any day. I quit drinking soda approximately 3 weeks ago. And while I haven't seen immediate results like in weight loss. I have noticed that I sleep better and I feel better overall.
  • I find it works best for me to weigh once a week in the morning and take my measurements once a month. I eat food I like. I pre-log it and try to stay at my calorie goal. I exercise a bit. I've lost about 1 lb a week doing that. I've lost inches too. I agree that weighing multiple times every day could be leading to an…
  • actually JoRocka Cardio does help burn belly fat.
  • You also need to do cardio. Cardio actually helps you burn your fat. Unfortunately doing crunches and such do nothing to help rid the body of belly fat.
  • I also created a food budget spreadsheet so I know exactly how much I am spending with a few dollars. That helps so that I am not caught off guard.
  • I weigh over 300 lbs and I am like you living paycheck to paycheck myself. I have a wife and three kids to feed and our budget is literally $100 bucks every two weeks for food. So one of the things that my wife and I do every morning is have a protein shake. We buy one of those big tubs that's like $30. And that will last…
