  • Yep, some scales have crap accuracy even under ideal conditions. I had a scale once that was even worse than yours; it had about a +/- 1.5 lb error. Scales can also be significantly affected by temperature, with a cold bathroom tile floor in the morning having a significant effect on the measurement.…
  • Physique ≠ strength, although there is a lot of overlap. I don't lift heavy in the big 3 anymore because of injuries, so my total is crap. Still making decent physique progress though.

  • If I am running low on carbs I usually go for rice, bread, fruit, pasta w/ low fat marinara sauce, pancakes+syrup, rice chex, pretzels. It is just personal preference. Agree with Sijomial above. Magnitude of caloric surplus will determine how much fat you gain.
