Ask the "nutritionist" what they think about the Mediterranean diet.

Back when manufacturers started making aluminum foil instead of tinfoil, they found that they had to spray caffeine on one side to reinforce the superstructure, otherwise the material is unreasonably fragile at that volume. That is why one side of aluminum foil is shiny, and the other side is dull. Please keep that in mind…

Mmmm... I would be willing to try a Doritos-flavor-dusted cake taco.

A potato is kind of like a potatoe, right?

A standard fish oil pill is 1000 mg oil (1 g fat = 9 calories), and with the gel cap they are typically 10 calories each. If you take 5 a day that is only 50 calories. If that is too many cals for you, you can get a concentrate such as this which has about double the EFAs so you would only need to take 2-3 pills (20-30…

Dammit I was just about to post a "I'm okay with them bringing me heavy sammiches" joke.

Rice cakes topped with pizza sauce and cheese and pepperoni FTW. Erbody happy.

<-- [Slams weights around angrily because MFPers sent me on a wild goose chase search mission to see if OP is the same OP of "steal yo man" thread.]

Thanks, sounds good.

Maybe check out the recipe forum.

Yep, some scales have crap accuracy even under ideal conditions. I had a scale once that was even worse than yours; it had about a +/- 1.5 lb error. Scales can also be significantly affected by temperature, with a cold bathroom tile floor in the morning having a significant effect on the measurement.…

Physique ≠ strength, although there is a lot of overlap. I don't lift heavy in the big 3 anymore because of injuries, so my total is crap. Still making decent physique progress though.

There is some science to support it, but I didn't find it noticeably useful. A good pump, sure, but long term any benefits were not easily observable. It did give me a new option to work around injuries while using lighter weights though.

I don't agree with a lot of stuff that Ben Greenfield writes, but I found this particular article pretty insightful: https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/2013/06/how-to-know-with-laser-like-accuracy-if-your-body-is-truly-recovered-and-ready-to-train/ For me personally, the first things I notice are chronic fatigue, sore joints…

This is horribly inaccurate. All of it.

LOL, a few years ago I spread about 20 bags of sugar on my lawn because the organic matter tested really low. Statisticians hate me.

Yes, losing 2 kg a month is a good pace. Most men store fat on their belly, and will often be the last place the fat leaves. That is due to genetics. Some men have to get to a very low body fat (<10%) before abs become visible. If you keep doing what you're doing, you will eventually get there. Working your abs will not…

You need a calorie deficit to lose fat. Otherwise you can try recomposition, which will be more favorable to muscle growth, but the fat loss will take longer. Did you already find your maintenance calorie level?

I have a theory that there is corollary to Godwin's law that states that any thread about gaining muscle while losing weight will converge to reductio ad concentratum campus with a median of less than 100 posts.

I vote no. What about haircuts, manicures, nose blowing?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2028752/Celebrity-Big-Brother-2011-Darryn-Lyons-shows-phony-washboard-stomach.html You can buy abs if you want.

If I am running low on carbs I usually go for rice, bread, fruit, pasta w/ low fat marinara sauce, pancakes+syrup, rice chex, pretzels. It is just personal preference. Agree with Sijomial above. Magnitude of caloric surplus will determine how much fat you gain.

1. What you are talking about now is adherence tactics, which is a very different topic than physical laws. What "works" is physically forcing a person to adhere to an energy balance. Aside from that, it is more of a crapshoot as to what strategies any given individual will comply with. You can give people knowledge and…

1. Both CICO and the first law of thermo are applications of the law of conservation of energy. The complexity of the system has no influence on the underlying laws of physics. Everything that exists in the universe obeys these laws, including all organic matter. Please feel free to rebut by providing an example of a…

This is my favorite carb powder: I top them with liquid carbs.
