That is just insane! Good for Eddie, though, and for a great cause of awareness! So...you ran two miles carrying a bag of beets? I've always loved the things, myself. When I briefly lived in Australia (somewhere I wish I still live at least three times per day), I was a ton more excite than I should be the first time I had…

I've been to Chipotle a few times since all their issues. The place wasn't jam packed like it had been before the outbreaks, but there was still quite a line of people (probably 10+ people in front of me) each time I've been there.

This is super cool. Thanks for sharing! It appears as though I live in a Strava running black hole. haha There are no running routes for several miles around me, but it looks like there's been a bit of biking going on! This gives me more motivation to create an account. My 3-mile running route can be famous!

Quick random post from the treadmill: My dad took me out to eat (and made me a cake for my birthday), so I couldn't run before it got dark, and there is absolutely no street lighting where I live, and I'm landlocked by two highways, so running in the dark isn't very safe. This was the first family birthday since my Mom…

I have no issues running on a treadmill, and because I get massively splitting headaches running outside in the cold, I confine myself to a treadmill during the winter. I'd rather deal with being bored out of my mind than with a headache that lasts two days. My boyfriend, on the other hand, claims that the treadmill…

Yeah. I always figured that was likely my issue. Though even running on a treadmill at the beginning of March seems to feel a lot harder than it should.

It looks like Stage 369 on the white route has the potential to go almost right past my house +/- 0.2 miles. This is a very interesting and intriguing concept. I see a handful of people already have themselves registered in PA.

I love dairy - ice cream and (good) cheese are two things I cannot live without. However, I have never liked milk. My parents had to trick me into drinking it as a kid. I liked bunnies. I had a bunny. The can of Nestle strawberry powder had a rabbit on it. My parents called it "strawberry milk," I wouldn't drink it. They…

I think you might want to consider adding in some vegetables somewhere. Your plan is almost entirely lean protein and dairy.

I can say I know exactly how you feel. I ran a half marathon three weeks ago, and I'm currently struggling through four miles. It'll get better. This has happened to me many times, and, interestingly, it always seems to happen at this time of the year. If I look back through my logs, I seem to have been super unhappy with…

I LOVE coffee, and I've been drinking it for decades. I used it drink it several times a day, but I've cut back to one or two cups a day. I've always preferred dark roast, I like it black, and I definitely consider myself a bit of a coffee snob. I switch up my bean source, but I typically get them from the following…

I love this idea!

They most certainly are killing it! I can't imagine they wouldn't be doing track this year. Actually, I don't think their mom would allow them not to. The 14-year-old had an official time of 19:48, and his 12-year-old brother came in next at 19:52 - 7th and 8th in the race, respectively. Other kids in the running…

@kristinegift: This happened to be in my e-mail this morning: 5 Supplements to Increase Your Sleep Quality It might be worth looking into!

I had another not-so-fantastic run on Sunday. This is starting to get pretty old. I went out on Sunday morning with the intention to do 6 miles. I went down to Philly with my boyfriend (he rows out of one of the boathouses on Boathouse Row) and was looking forward to an awesome morning run along the river when he was at…

I like the sound of the Richmond Marathon (well, the half...I'm not sure if I'll ever get into doing a full). I have some family in Richmond, and it's a place I've been meaning to visit for a while. This race may need to be added to my "race bucket list!"

Awesome! Thanks for the report back. I think they'll be on my radar for the next time I need to get some (I still have others I need to work through, first). Also, a great, big, giant congratulations on your first half!!

I'm not a fan of milk, either, and I haven't found a protein powder I can drink with straight water. I always use almond milk with protein powder (I am a vanilla person). I also tend to use more liquid called for if I'm drinking it just as a protein shake - I don't like it super-thick. I often add a scoop of protein to a…

I'm with you on this one. I don't stretch, and I don't foam roll. My boyfriend, however, is very adamant about both of those things. I only foam roll or use the "torture ball" (I have no idea what it's actually called, but it's blue, about the size of a cantaloupe, and covered in little spikes and nubs) when he hounds me…

That does make sense. It still doesn't explain my struggle on March 9, 2013, but I'll just ignore that and take this as the reason for my struggle! I just hope I bounce back sooner rather than later. My longest race distance before the half last month was a 15K last April (a week before I was out of commission for months…

@kristinegift: Well, if you do decide to do the Cedar Point race, please let me know how it is! That run, and their beer fest, are two Cedar Point bucket list items for me. Also, an early congrats on your upcoming graduation! @skippygirlsmom: Thanks for the words of encouragement. It sounds like you know exactly…

@kristinegift: I apologize for being a little bit of a creeper, here, but I see you're doing the Run and Ride at Cedar Point this year. Have you run that race, before? I was thinking of doing it this year, but it's the weekend before my music festival. A half marathon in Ohio on a Sunday followed by few-day trip to…

My PT actually told me to do and pay attention to this exact same thing (well, he didn't correlate it to sex ) when I was recovering from my hip injury last Spring. It is amazing how much easier running seems to be when you have your core engaged and your body relaxed! Also, when was focusing on these things, my…

@kristinegift: It is super annoying! I can afford new shoes, but I simply don't want to have to buy them because, frankly, I'm cheap! The blisters and black toe nails, however, tell me I should just bite the bullet and go for new shoes. :frowning: I have not run the River Horse course, yet. I would assume, however, (though…

I have been on the struggle bus since my half, and I have no idea why. My 4-mile run felt like a 14-mile run, yesterday. Interestingly, my "this day in history" (or whatever it's called) on Facebook popped up with a post from me about an awful run on March 9, 2013 and me noting how I felt like I had never ran before. I…

I've been able to do little more than skim this thread, lately. Holy posts! @5BeautifulDays: I'm with you on the speed thing. I seem to be able to pace myself and push myself harder on a treadmill. Out in the real world, I get super frustrated that I cannot run nearly the same as I do indoors. @runner_girl83: Good luck on…

I use my crock pot all the time - at least a couple times per week, and I'm usually doing chicken breasts or turkey cutlets in some sort of broth or sauce. This looks like it would give you 4.5 ounces of barbecue sauce per serving (assuming you get four servings as it says). That is a TON of barbecue sauce. Unlike everyone…
