Feel free to add. I'm looking for a little more support, too! I have an open diary if you wanna take a peak, too. It's not always awesome and perfect, but hey, who's is? Right now I'm focusing on my fiber intake. I try to get at least 35g a day. yikes!

yeah, that thought crossed my mind... If that's the case, should I just keep on estimating? I halve my calories burned when I enter it into MFP and I just wanna know if I'm halving too much or too little. Know what I mean?

Add me! I need a boost too!

Yay for new beginnings! Feel free to add me for support. I'm pretty active on MFP and I have an open diary if you wanna take a looksie. Not perfect... But hey, who is? I agree with the journey bit. Took me a long time to come to terms with my eating...

oh and a nice perk about metformin is that in some people it can help you lose weight initally. It won't for long-term, though. I think some studies put it at 8% weight reduction in the first few months. That paired with healthier eating/exercise will definitely help. Anything helps, right?

Metformin can have different reactions for everyone, but the common one is nausea. Is this what your friend meant when she said it made her feel ill? If so, don't be discouraged, it'll only last a few days and once your body gets used to it the symptoms go away. Some people don't feel it at all... it just depends. Another…

With food, yes! One morning I wake up feeling great telling myself I can eat within my calorie goal and by dinner I'm like "that was a hard day, I'm going to eat this yummy burger..." It's my mood that can dictate it...

There are studies that show sugar lights up the dopamine areas in our brains and is actually considered a to be addictive because of that. We are actually hardwired to seek out sugar.... along with fat and salt because back in the day, millions of years ago, this was what sustained us. Today, we just have an overabundance…

My husband tried to squeeze my muffin top and he could barely grab on! HaHa! He said "where did it go? I can barely grab it!"

That sounds like a very busy schedule! Whenever I hit a barrier I try to think how can I get around it. Its great you're reaching out because i'm sure there are others going thru a similar issue and they might have good tips. Time is especially an issue. At my last job I was on the road 3.5 hours a day just commuting andt…

Feel free to add me. I think it's great you're start out strategically! If you start on too many things at one it can get overwhelming and ultimately could lead to demise.

Same question here. I did a total fit class with all sorts of squats, push ups, weights, body weight, ab stuff, stairs, and whatever the instructor said to do. It was a Great workout, but this morning I sure did feel it. think I'll apt for some light cardio today. I'm trying to build my mental tolerance for strength…

Update: so I cooked my barley... Think I added too much water but I just drained it and here's my recipe that turned out pretty good. Turns out i had most of the ingredients but i just needed a cucumber. 1 cup cooked barley 1/2 cucumber diced 1 roma tomato diced 1 oz feta cheese 1/4 of a small red onion diced Kalamata…

Good idea! I didn't think of using salad dressing... and it's so obvious!

Same issue here! I posted something about that yesterday looking for friends and tips. Weekends are hardest for me and I don't get it .... if I only do what I do M-F I'll be awesome! But it just doesn't happen. But I don't know why I just can't freaking log and plan meals on weekends.

Marathon training academy. Even if you're not a runner they have good tips on working out and eating for fuel. It's a husband and wife duo that are pretty entertaining. They also interview other celebrity and inpirational athletes so it gets you pretty motivated.

Yep so true its taken me about a year to build my discipline for exercise. In the beginning i needed motivation to exercise and dont get me wrong... Its good to hear something motivational when going for a work out but I don't absolutely depend on it. I exercise because it's just what I do and I don't question whether or…

Ha-ha... Love your post because I could have written it... But in my case it just "too much" of the right things....
