Well done! That's amazing. Also, good luck with getting to your goal by your birthday. I just wanted to say, though: if you find your weight loss slowing down a bit, don't feel you are a failure. With 34 lbs left to lose, you might well not get there until Christmas. That would be over 80 lbs in 13 months which would be…

I hope he is better soon! And good for you!

Good luck!

I found Barbara Kingsolver's book Animal, Vegetable, Miracle really interesting in thinking about attitudes towards food. I thoroughly recommend it.

That looks like great progress! (Looking forward to seeing how you look after the next 12 lbs are gone.)

This is such a great way of thinking about it. Thank you @AnnPT77!

Well done: slow and steady is a really good way!

I love this! And well done!

I use BodyFit by Amy, also very good workouts with a lot of bodyweight options, although I now also have dumbbells and kettlebells.

It might be worth recognising that a loss of 0.8 lb per week is a really good rate of loss. If you lose at that rate consistently, then that adds up to 3.2 lbs per month.

Hi amioc, I understand your frustration but it's hard to be helpful if you don't say a bit more. Losing and gaining the same few pounds sunds like you are maintaining your weight, but from your post I take it that you are not maintaining where you want to be. What does "starting over" mean for you? For myself, I lost…

I think/hope that the plateau was planned, as that is already nearly 10lbs down in a month.
-
That's brilliant. Well done! Good luck for the rest of your journey.

Basically, I would say: read the forum! But in a nutshell: eat less and move more.

Sadly it's not currently true for me. Hoping to be where cmriverside is now one of these days, but currently I am in the gain weight in the bakery aisle category. I'll see where I am next year!

I had the same with my practice nurse: she was really pleased with - and surprised by - my weightloss, and even more so when I maintained for a year. She had warned me that it might be a challenge to keep the weight off. Unfortunately she was right. However, I've lost it all again so next time I see heer she will be…

@heatherharris2006 you could also try seated workouts like the ones offered by BodyFit by Amy. Her beginners and low impact workouts are also really good. (I did the 10 minute cardio a lot last year when I was getting started with exercise.) Edit: I was trying to post links to the relvant playlists, but they were bringing…

Hi I am 57 and have over the past year lost 30lbs to my goal weight. I think quite a lot about what I eat an experiment with meals that would be low calorie but filling (stir-fry and rice for lunch ofr instance). I also found that I needed to do regular exercise (and I ate back the calories). I set mfp to begin with to…

I have no children either and my belly also flops when I jump, which is probably one reason why I tend not to!

Fantastic progress! Well done!

Good for you! (I have never heard of a shoulder replacement before!)

This thread is truly awesome!

Two amazing steps! Well done!

Love the kitties and congratulations on 500 days of logging: that's amazing! Good luck with the belly; I sympathise as the rest of me seems fine but that lower belly bulge is still very much a thing. I am trying to work out what a reasonable expectation might look like, and was looking for that thread on bellies with wombs…

Getting up and doing a 30-70 minute workout (depending on the day). This is easier at present because I am living in a time zone an hour behind my work time zone. It has been a game changer for me.

Nearly at your May goal! Good for you!
-
That's amazing! Good for all of you, keeping this up for over eight years. I'll be at one year next week, which feels like quite an achievement to me. (I do have someone on my friends' list who has a 3035 day streak.)

You look amazing!
