  • Same problem; it's useful to come here and discover that I am not alone. It's also only showing me my home page in German, even though I have the language set to English. I was able to get to the English-language forum by adjusting the url to include EN instead of DE, but when I do that for home page it just jumps back to…

  • I've had a similar experience. I'm in maintenance (in theory at least), but have been mostly away from mfp since the summer. I've been working out really regularly, but I've also gained weight fairly steadily. Like you, my focus is on activity at present, but I do want to try not to gain my way back out of normal bmi, so…

  • @AKTipsyCat , I am beginning to suspect that gaining and losing the same 10 lbs (or 5lbs, or whatever), for months at a time is actually maintenance. Take heart in that you will be very good at it by the time you get to where you want to be! (And in your photo you look great, by the way!)

  • It took me two months to lose my first stone, from 13 stone 13 lbs to 12 stone 13 lbs. It then took me another five months to lost the next stone to 11 stone 13 lbs, which landed me pretty much at my goal weight. I maintained there for about seven months but I'm up about 5 lbs again now, though, and and currently deciding…
  • This is rather a random thought and I suspect this won't be the same for everyone, but although I gained back all the weight I lost the first time (which I've now mostly lost again), I actually still fitted (or squeezed) into the clothes I had bought at my goal weight. I think this was because I was still exercising and…
  • This is amazing! Well done!
  • That's a lovely photo! And frankly I see no wrinkles.
  • It's great to hear from you. I hope you are both feeling better soon.

  • That's so important, and I speak/write as someone who lost to goal (ca. 15kg), gained back to my starting point and beyond, and has now lost to goal again (ca. 15kg again), but over the summer has regained 3 kg...
  • My weight is currently up about 3kg, but my belt is still comfortably on the hole I made when I weighed my goal weight.

  • Exactly! Have a great month!
  • I can't do jumping jacks and so on, but have really tightened up my core by using the BodyFit by Amy core and more programme, and subsequently the workouts in the BodyFit Athletic Club. Her free videos are here: https://bodyfitbyamy.com/abs-and-core-workouts/. If you want the four-week programme it is here:…

  • Amazing! Good for you - and welcome to maintenance!
  • I also don't do well on low carb. I have come t othe conlusion that it is really important to find out what works for you and you body, and also to keep an eye on what might be changing with age.
  • Yay you indeed! You look great! (And I quite agree on the growing challenge to lost belly fat as you get older. :( )
  • @wunderkindking, I am definitely still learning how maintenance is going to be for me. One thing I do know, from experience, is that if I don't keep an eye on things I will end up back where I started (top end of overweight/borderline obese in bmi). That seems to be my natural "trigger weight", but having now lost form…
  • This is the same for me too. I hit my all time highest weigh-in weight in May 2020 (I may have weighed more at other times but I didn't step on the scale so I have no record). It was not horrendous - 88kg, which for me is borderline overweight/obese according to bmi, but it was way over my ideal weight which is around…

  • @ginamyrmel, that's amazing progresss and you look great (and like a completely different person)!
  • Isn't it depressing when this happens? I'm maintaining, but my weight was up 2lbs yesterday too; those 2lbs are off again today. I have no idea why! What I do find is that keeping records long term helps me to see trends and understand that these bigger gains are blips. (I'm also seeing an underlying gain that is not a…
