  • Thank you all. I have not even heard of some of these, so I appreciate this. Now I'm off to research. Appreciate the help.
  • Thanks everyone for the wonderful suggestions. I think I just need to get my head straight about this. I've just come out of 2 major eating holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas. Heck, even new year's eve) The lag might be seasonal. Even through all that, I managed to lose 5 pounds. I did notice something surprising…
  • Those links were awesome!!! Thank you!!!
  • "A new tattoo..." :D Yes, seeing myself look slimmer is a reward for me too.
  • These are wonderful ideas, thank you everyone!
  • I really like that idea of making the prize big!!! Thanks!
  • A good resource is youtube, just google vegan food prep, and there are videos of often easy, week long vegan menus. Otherwise, Chili (beans, canned tomatoes, beans, corn, onion, bell pepper, spices, etc) Spaghetti squash with marinara Vegan hot dogs on organic buns with saurkraut, onions and mustard. They were 3 grams of…
  • This is such an old thread, but like the original poster, I too started searching. I ate dinner tonight. I had kabocha. I went to log it. 30 calories??? For something so dense, and sweet...it's denser than the sweet potatoes I steamed with it. And starchier than a potato. I found 30 calories very hard to believe. I'm going…
  • I chose to break my goals up, so I can feel more accomplished...I guess. Dieting is rough, so I broke mine up 3 goals. My 1st goal is a weight where I feel ok--not good, but just ok. My 2nd goal, which is 10 lbs under that is a weight I feel good at. My 3rd goal, which is another 10 lbs below, is where I'd look great.…
  • Lost 8 lbs the first month. Waist measurement increased 1/2 inch, hips stayed the same, bust--lost 2 inches. Guess I know where the weight came off first! :) Very ok with it though, as I do not like being so busty.
  • I'll do a quarter cup of cottage cheese w/no sugar pineapple cup. Or half serving of cream of wheat w/almond milk and a tiny bit of brown sugar. This link has great ideas: http://greatist.com/health/88-unexpected-snacks-under-100-calories
  • Hello, this is an old post but I am amazed by your doctor. In the United States, most doctors are really ignorant about nutrition and diet, and are all about prescribing pharmaceutical drugs! For your doctor to recommend non pharmaceutical items impresses me beyond belief! You are lucky! I don't know anything about the…
  • I am not a big fan of beans, but they do provide protein and fiber and are filling. I don't like the texture of the skin. I don't know if you don't like them in general, but I can handle them if they are pureed. For example, kidney beans are a no, but hummus is ok. Also, I can puree white beans into spaghetti sauce, and it…
