Chocolate milk (mixed myself)....it also happens to be my recovery drink!

Not endorsing this, nor trying to be hypercritical, but she says 16 oz water, not a 60 oz mixture.

Oh, I just read someone's comment about cardio.....I know I need the extra cardio, so I ride my bike for 30 minutes before the workout, then skip his warmup, but start with the stretching. It is what I need to get the burn, and I need the burn every day to lose.

I am at the end of Week 2 (Lean) and have not been following their food plan. I have been logging my food here for almost 1 year and most days feel like I have a handle on it. I did go the site and sign up for a coach - nice to have someone to ask my questions there. I did increase my protein and feel better now. Have fun!

I would suggest seeing a physical therapist, or get a referral to see a sports medicine physician. I am not a doctor, so I will not even say "it sounds like you have...." but I would get it checked out. You also said you tried new shoes - were you fitted at a running shoe store? - they may be of some help as well.

I was a premie....43 now, but what a wonderful cause!

It is recommended because of the balance of carb, protein and fat. I use it, but mix it myself. It is cheap and a nice treat after sweating my brains out! (keeps me out of the cookie jar too!).

Probably make your dentist happy too.

I created an exercise called "DVD Workout". I wear a HRM. I make a note in the notes section of exercise to state which workout I completed. Most accurate and least time consuming.

I turn off my HRM once my HR has slowed to the 90s. Whatever I may burn in the next 30 minutes isn't something I need to worry about really....just my opinion really and the advice I received from appointments with health professionals.

Lol - Welcome!

Hey....this is a nice thread! I am on Week 2, day 4 of Lean. I have my bike set up on a trainer and jump on it when necessary. Today is scheduled yoga, but I am going to walk Sansone style instead, and probably do Ab Ripper (or what I can of it) as I did not do it yesterday.

Welcome from a fellow Montana resident!

I had the same issue, and not with 30DS but with any jumping, including jumping jacks. I always wear good shoes. I moved my workout area downstairs and invested in rubber mats ($20 for a packet of six at WalMart). I still avoid most jumping activities (jump on my bike for those segments and pedal like a mad woman), but the…

Destiny - I believe there may be a group of PCOSers on here, search for it. I was diagnosed with PCOS 13 years ago. Then I was probably 15 pounds overweight and my cholesterol was high. I made some diet changes (less fast food to be honest) and was put on Metformin because we were trying to start a family. My cholesterol…

Workout DVDs and my bike is set up on a trainer. Also have Wii Fit plus for some fun. And I dream of the day the temperatures rise and the 3 ft of snow melts.

skinny = 14 really skinny = 12

And regarding walking, if you live in a place where the weather is less than favorable at the moment, I suggest the Leslie Sansone walking DVD's. If she gets annoying, you can mute the DVD and put on your favorite music!

Invest in and wear a HRM. Create your own exercise - I called mine DVD workout. You can then enter your time and calories burned no matter what DVD/video you workout with.

I have added my own exercise, and just called it DVD Workout. I wear a HRM and can then enter the time and calories after workout. That also makes it easy when I choose to do different DVDs for exercise. I then notate in the Exercise Notes box, which DVD I did and anything else pertinent. Have fun!

Scrambled, wrapped in white corn tortillas and topped with tomato and spinach!

Good Morning! I have an F4. The zone is based on the information you put into it. I would not adjust the settings....there are times when I am hiking up a big hill in the heat, that causes mine to beep at me. Target heart rate has to do with with the "place" where your heart is being exercised but not overworked. That does…

Well worth the funds! And, you don't have to go all out either. I would however, suggest a model with the chest strap for accuracy. I have a Polar F4, and have used it for the last five years or so. It does everything I need it to do, was about $80, and I have never had a problem with it, just a battery change or two.

Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. Yes, it is hard and slow, (for me anyway) but stick with it. The logging on this site is VERY beneficial. I have noticed that for me, eating more protein and exercising like a mad-woman produces results. I am having exercise issues at the moment, but really it can be done! Best wishes!!! P.S.…

And over time, you will not have to "go" quite as often!

I have two sitting here on my desk....both are a reminder of where I am heading, our wedding picture eight years ago, and another that is a couple of years later but still a fit-looking lady.

I started taking B Complex (time release) and I notice a significant difference in energy level and feel much better. No more feeling like I need an afternoon nap! I would consult a dietician or your physician to get guidance. Not going to melt any poundage off, not a miracle, but it has improved my afternoon productivity.

Not sure how much help I am going to be, because I struggle with balance as well. I work full-time from home, married, and we have a 4-year-old son, and an 11-month-old son. Three of the biggest pieces of advice I have received are: 1) Do not feel guilty because children are learning to entertain themselves. 2) The entire…
