Is that to me? I cannot remember what it was. Another physician I have seen recently just shook her head, and said it is an awfully powerful medication to be used for off-label reasons.

Speaking from personal experience....my GP prescribed this for me about 5 weeks ago. I do get migraines about 6x a year, but she was hoping for the weight loss side effect. I did take it, but stopped 3 days ago. I did experience tingling and the fishing for words issue. But more alarming was the lack of interest in food,…

Yes to the shorts. My backside does not need to get used to riding. I spent my entire winter with the bike on a trainer and rode anywhere from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. I stopped riding outside at the end of October and was biking more than the route I did today. The discomfort is not what a person feels when needing to…

I wore mine cycling, clipped it to my shoelace, came out pretty close to my HRM. I am speaking in past tense as mine went through the wash too many times and even sitting in rice would not bring it back to life!

Send them to me and I will eat them :) Sorry to be a smarty pants. You have received some wonderful ideas here though!

Egg yolk, not the whites....they don't mix very well. Scramble the whites.

Yes....carbs at 50-60, flour makes me swell, and I have to exercise my buns off. Then, slow weight loss happens. If I keep my diet the same and do not exercise, weight does not come off. If I enjoy bread, even low-carb varieties, and exercise my buns off, I actually gain weight. Carbs are the issue with insulin-resistance…

Ice, ibuprofen, and a trip to the Dr....maybe for referral to PT.

I have a FitBit and an FT4. FitBit lives in my pocket for my day. I wear the HRM for working out. I stopped the sync feature with MFP because it ticked me off. I like FitBit for keeping me active thru my day, the HRM is WAY more accurate in caloric burn during a workout.

Ok, don't laugh. When I first started archery, my husband gave me a cannonball (a big weight used for fishing). My exercise was to hold it out away from my body, arm fully extended. We started with oh, 20 seconds or so. And used it with both arms. This not only helped with strengthe needed to pull back, but also with have…

As a musician, I do log rehearsal. I don't eat those calories back, but I do log it as an activity. It is not part of my daily routine (unfortunately), there are muscles being used (I play woodwind instruments), and it is good for my brain. It does not take the place of cardio workout or strength training, nor do I use it…

It isn't supposed to be a shortage like cannot find it on the shelves lines of people a mile long, but price will go up. Has to do with drought and price of feed.

I echo the dark chocolate suggestion and try some macadamia nuts. When I crave, it is usually because I have eaten too many of the wrong kind of carb for me, or have not taken in enough healthy fat.

I was diagnosed with PCOS 12 years ago. Don't wig out about Metformin, but do ask why it was prescribed for you. I was given it to regulate my cycle and prevent borderline insulin issues from becoming worse. My blood work did not make a strong case for my having insulin resistance/metabolic syndrome. I spent some time on…

And I have to disagree with shooting not taking physical skill...try holding a shotgun steady.

One son at 39 and another son at 42. God's timing.

I am using a FitBit, and compared to the TDEE calculator I plugged information into, it is pretty close to that, within a couple hundred calories or so. FitBit may not calculate rest periods, but it shows periods of inactivity. For me, it was the most affordable solution to seeing some more information.

Good morning! My goal has been set to 1700 for a start (it has been there for awhile, I have not met it consistently so this is a good place to start for now). I sure hope I have studied and done the math correctly.

Hey....my name is Lori and I stumbled into this group (probably an act of God....can I say that?). I have been on MFP for quite some time, through a pregnancy even...who is now a 2-year-old! I am not going to post a big ol' history but would like to say that I lost some 2 years ago, was referred to a nutritionist who made…

I wear a HRM and have created exercise in the "exercise tab" called Walk with Stroller, enter my time and calories. It is the only way to accurate.

Battery change or tighten the chest strap.

25 degrees and has been snowing for the past 24+ hours...total accumulation thus far is a bit over 2 feet. Not whining, it is just a lot to deal with all at once! (Western Montana).

I bought interlocking foam at WalMart (by the exercise equipment). It was $20 for a package of 6....I think the pieces are 2ftx2ft. I have had it for a year and it has held up very well!
