Strictly Simple September. I'm in for really really simple.

My hubby and I have both had calcium oxalate kidney stones in the past. We have cut high-oxalate foods out of our diet and no reoccurrences since. No spinach, soy products, beets, sweet potatoes, chard. There are lots of online resources listing high-ox foods. If this type of stone is what your hubby has you may want to…

Humboldt County? I live in Shasta. Hey neighbor! I totally know what you mean by Honey's. Congrats on your weight loss!

Newbie question please... FBG means?

Look up how to use transdermal magnesium for supplementation. I made my own mag spray and use it after showering. Here is a link to a study discussing this: http://www.cnelm.com/NutritionPractitioner/Issues/Issue_11_1/Articles/7%20Transdermal%20Mg%20revised2.pdf So sorry about your mood swings. When I feel overwhelmed, esp…

I've had 2 meals in the last 2 days that were full of really really bad decisions. Both were events where food was provided- company summer pool party and a play date my son went to. I do great when at home! Need to find restraint when out with friends

Butter and coconut oil. Almost bulletproof!

One of the first spring flowers to come out in my neighborhood is the shooting star. And my birth year so I can better remember my user name!

I have 3 very stubborn lbs to lose (1 on each thigh and 1 on my belly). Otherwise I'm maintaining! Would love more friends!

I do a short tabata or HIIT workout after lifting. Then I can check off my cardio and avoid the 25 plus min cardio I used to do. I'm not a huge cardio fan!

Check out cookbooks by Danielle Walker, I think she has a website as well. I have "Against All Grain" which has great recipes, and lots of info about UC and food choices. The crockpot orange chicken is fantastic!

Maybe expensive, but Medjool dates are great! They usually come with seeds, but are super easy to remove. When buying any dates be picky, look in the package -if clear- and buy those that look plump. If shriveled they may need rehydrating. Or look for those with the furthest out expiration date. My 6 year old eats these…

Look up costochondritis. I had a lifting injury a long time ago in my ribcage, went to the doc and this was the diagnosis. I remember feeing a pop when it happened. Went away on its own but took a while. Hope you feel better soon. If not head for the doc!

Nice to find this post. Hubby and I agreed last week to go dry on the weekdays and limit to 1 drink each on Saturday and Sunday. It should be much easier to stay within my calories this way!

CW 7/1/15: 129.8 GW: 125 Time to get serious about these last 5 lbs. I'm in!

I am 5'6" and my happy weight is around 123-125. That is where I feel great and my size 6 Levi's fit just right. I am trying to focus on gaining muscle now, so the number on the scale is less meaningful. I would be very happy to weigh more and look better. @melodyis4reals - Congratulations on your 17lb loss! Keep up the…

Yes, I am in the same situation. I would love to lose that annoying flabby layer (tummy fat) as well... it almost goes away when I get down to around 124lbs (my current goal). I am about 6 lbs away from that now. I've also started strength training, but doing home workouts at the gym is out of the question at the moment.…

We are close! CW 131 GW 124ish Age 42 Height 5'5" I got to a healthy weight range - looking to maintain it! And would love a flatter tummy

This is one of my favorites, note that the quantities are approximate: 1 banana, 1 cup coconut milk, 1-2 cups spinach or kale, about a teaspoon chia seeds, and about a teaspoon flax meal. Let the chia seeds soak in the milk for about 15 min to soften them up first!

Mmm fish! Lemon and a bit of salt are my quick go to spices for grilling fish. Then top off with avocado mango chutney, or a seafood tartar sauce (though higher calorie option still very yummy). For the oven I often put down a layer of onions or leeks first in the pan, then add broth or white cooking wine. Fish should not…

Hi Gemmi - Krogers had much better results than I did... nice work! I lost a few lbs and a few inches all over, but was still recovering from a bad knee injury so I had to dial down the intensity quite a bit on the first time thorugh this plan. I really loved the program though, and plan to hit it harder this go round. The…
