This. Carbs aren't the devil. Type of carbs is. Refined - uh uh. Natural - go for it. If you drop your carb intake a bit and up your fat, you won't crave as much carbs. 40/40/20 carbs/protein/fat is ideal

Aspartame lobby is very powerful. Stuff should be banned. Soda in general is bad for your health, sodas interfere with calcium uptake and have a negative effect on bone density.

It's not the hate for pizza. It's the hate for self-control. Even if I make the healthiest pizza with the thinnest crust known to man, I would find it difficult to just eat 2-3 small slices. "I can resist anything but temptation." -Oscar Wilde

Not at all. Then again she's already in shape and looking sexy. The only thing I encourage is that she weight train for bone and muscle density.

Just kidding about the raw steak! In all seriousness: try the following 1/4 cup raw pumpkin seed kernels 3/4 cup 0% fat greek yogurt 1 scoop whey isolate powder 1/2 cup frozen blueberries Delicious, packed with protein, healthy fats, fiber, minerals and vitamins, and takes 2 seconds to put together.

I usually have a raw steak (top sirloin is preferable, the fat in strip loin tastes gross raw), 2 raw eggs and a ton of multivitamins. doesn't taste the best but keeps you satiated until lunch.

In some lines of work, (eg: Superhero), yes.

....and almost guarantees you won't have a hangover either. Great advice!

Everyone is different, but I've found most people do well on a 40/40/20 carb/protein/fat split, especially if they are doing weight training. The body needs protein to rebuild and maintain lean mass, and one of the biggest myths around is that people want to lose "weight". What they really mean is they want to lose body…

PS: I also know people who just by cutting diet sodas lost 15 lbs. Probably has something to do with fooling the brain into triggering insulin release.

When aspartame is digested in the body, it is converted to three components: aspartic acid, phenylalanine, and methanol Methanol is a poison.
-
Look up metabolites of aspartame and tell me it isn't poison.
-
By the way diet soda is poison, and sodas in general should be avoided, they leech calcium and other minerals from your body. The only liquids I drink now are water, green tea, black coffee, red wine, and if I have hard liquor I drink it neat or on ice.

Alcohol has many deleterious effects beyond the caloric impact. As a fairly heavy drinker myself, who has yo-yo'd between 220 and 270 lbs for most of my post-University adult life, all I can say is: If you REALLY want to lose weight, (and keep it off) you have to strictly moderate your booze intake. Does this mean you…

Great job - inspiring - last photo you look like you belong in a Bond movie. Looking forward to checking out your diary. Following in your footsteps...cheers!

Stay away from crap like hot chocolate powders and other "frankenfoods". Replace the hot chocolate w/ green tea. First thing you need to do is recalibrate your hormones with your diet. You probably eat too many carbs and have fluctuations in blood sugar that make you hungry at night. Slow-release carbs like oatmeal and…

You should read "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle" from Tom Venuto. His dietary recommendations are not only ideal for losing fat and retaining muscle, but they're also healthy. I once did Atkins (keto!), lost 70 lbs in about 7 months - everyone thought I looked great (with clothes on) but when I looked in the mirror I saw I…

most people (especially those who are also exercising) will benefit from a reduction of carbs and increase in protein to a ratio of 40/40/20 (carbs/protein/fat). Problem is 40% protein is hard for most people to eat, so a protein supplement is invaluable in getting to that point. body needs to be in positive nitrogen…
