If you like yogurt, mix a scoop of protein powder (Dymatize Orange Dreamsicle is my favorite for this) in a cup of plain non-fat greek yogurt. 11g carb, 49g protein, 0g fat. Add a tablespoon of olive oil if you are low on fat for the day. Mix in a granola bar if you want more carbs.

Forgot to add that I find my knees hurt more if I've been sitting for longer periods of time during the day. If I get up from my desk and stretch/ flex my legs now and then, I have almost no pain.

Have the same issue. Can't say I've found much that cured it, but seems (for me) to be related to mobility/ tightness. My pain is on the top of my knee cap. Found this post doing a google search on why MFP calories don't match my calculations. Using 4 calories/gram for Protein and Carbs and 9 calories/ gram for fat, MFP's calorie numbers are consistently lower by 20-40 calories than what I calculate.
