  • Thank you ollerwe, I was wondering about that! Lol For the people used to weighing once a week, there's no reason not to continue doing so. Either weigh a second time that week or just choose to use the last weight you recorded, don't blow up the habits you've worked hard to get established.
  • Adam, I only see the current one
  • Artificial Orange flavoring. Blue/Gorgonzola Cheese - Both issues come from the meds I had to take while really sick as a kid - Penicillin and an orange flavored syrup. I do wonder if any of the people who hate oatmeal have tried a savory preparation. Steel cut with butter, pepper and Parmesan, or an Asian influence is a…
  • I like the countdown idea - and it would definitely work better with the 10 format. :)
  • kalieahh hasn't logged in for 3 days, which explains the lack of updates and such. Don't suppose she mentioned going somewhere?
  • I haven't had any issues using the link and entering info in bwmalone's post, but the link at the top of the page isn't the same sheet and I can't enter anything there. Since it's blank I don't think anyone can :)
  • I know that my goal is a little ambitious but it's consistent with the rate I've been losing over the last 8 weeks. It should take me 12 of the 14+ weeks. I know that there will probably come a point where I stall but that's part of the reason I want to have a deadline hanging over my head. I'm an underachiever and…
  • I don't think of it as "water", I use "fluids" going by what we logged as fluid intake in the hospital. So yes, coffee, tea, juice, clear broths, and even jello all count toward your fluid intake. If it really was just "water" that functioned toward hydration I would have died as a teenager. I've never been a plain water…
  • I have asthma and MS so I know what you mean! The best advice I got was from my Doctor who told me to stop holding myself to other people's standards. Just because other people call a workout "easy" doesn't mean my body will be ready for it or even able to handle it. I was just pushing myself way too hard and being given…
  • I've managed to lose 12 lbs since I started in November, but that leaves me with a nice even 50 to lose in 2015! I really need to be held accountable since this is my first time doing this on my own and it can be hard without someone to cheer you on or kick you in the rear as needed.
  • Zombie Vs Shark podcast. <3 these guys
  • I loathe Dad's Girlfriend. He deserves so much better.
  • Was I the only one who went straight to "The fat just walks away" ? Adipose anyone?
  • The one time I had unexplained vomiting for days it turned out to be liver damage from Mono. So yeah, I'd go to the Doctor ASAP. And keep track of any other symptoms you have too.
  • I'm just sad that there isn't a copy of How to Train Your Dragon 2 under the Christmas Tree. I didn't want to get it for the kids because someone REALLY should be getting it for ME.
  • Now Reading: Deathstalker, with To Your Scattered Bodies Go stashed under the sink in the restroom at work. Though I'll admit I've wasted more than a few hours on free smut on the tablet lately.
  • 33, down 10 since I started in Nov, and another 50 to go. Been feeling a little down so I'm looking for more friends. :)
  • I'm working on the habit of drinking 8-16oz of fluid (usually tea) if I'm hungry between meals. I've never been a big drinker to begin with, so remembering that dehydration can sometimes be interpreted as hunger has done a lot to limit my snacks.
  • Please feel free to add me too. The more active friends I can get, the better. :)
  • Congratulations on your awesome loss! I'm a single mom of two boys who's got about 50 lbs to lose. I'm on my 7th week, and this site and the people I've met through it have been a huge part of sticking with it. A healthy rate of weight loss is a frustrating thing to be sure, so having people who are reinforcing the fact…
  • Having active friends-even if they aren't people you can grab a cup of coffee with, really does help. Feel free to add me :)
  • I got started at the beginning of November with the idea that if I was behaving myself most of the time the holidays would do less damage. :) I found a super-easy workout to do and logging my food made me a whole lot more aware of just how much I was eating. At first the idea of sticking to a calorie limit was…
  • Start small. Taking one small step at a time is less satisfying that jumping in with both feet, but it's easier to stick with.
  • Dec 12th ~ Work is going to be harder than home. Most of the Adults in my family are conscious of maintaining their bodies if not actively managing their weight, so they "get it". We've also got some fantastic cooks - so you know we know how to eat. For the most part I'm going to make an effort to NOT drink a bottle of…
  • 11th- I spent years in a relationship with an addict, and desperately trying to get him to see that a slip was only bad if you stayed on the ground after you fell. You just needed to get back up and keep on moving. I'm trying to be very honest with myself from the get- go. I only really feel bad about food choices if I…
  • I'm the queen of using being lazy and easily distracted to my advantage. Having to get more food out is frequently enough reason for me to avoid seconds - or even just leaving my comfy spot on the couch and having to reclaim it from the kids. . . And give me a book or an ipad full of games and yes, I can forget I'm hungry…
  • My legs only really get shaved if they're going out in public. Because they're white and the hair from the knees down is dark. I didn't even do it very often for the swimming pool this year. I'm fine with armpit hair until you start sweating. Armpit hair dripping with sweat makes my skin crawl. And I keep mine shaved every…
  • Dec 7th - I'm in my 5th week of Daily Burn's True Beginner program (3rd tier of workouts) - which I love because I can do it without having to watch myself for slurred words the rest of the day from fatigue. It has three rotating routines and an optional "mobility" workout on the rest day that I think of as synchronized…
  • Dec 4th - I went to the Dentist and spent a large portion of the day not wanting to chew my tongue and feeling a little sick thank to the meds. But the day was almost entirely veg, ( turns out my morning shake is vegan, who knew?) except for the little bit of chicken that was in my hot and sour soup. So almost a success!…
