Oh, sorry @RunsonEspresso I didn’t realize you had taken the 8am spot in here. I will take my name off the spreadsheet then.
-
@shanaber I took the 8 am slot earlier today. Sorry to hear about your ankle. More hugs to Hobbes. I have to wait till Thursday for my pathology results. It takes so long. Welcome back @7lenny7 Have a great time officiating the wedding @ PastorVincent I caught up on the posts! I caught a cold and am feeling miserable. I…

Thank you @Elise4270 🤓

I put my name in at 1500 - 1530 in whatever spreadsheet was in front when I opened it. Most of the slots were full (hope it's right). I think this will be Sunday at 8 am PST. My brain is a little off at the moment, so if anyone has a chance to check if I have translated the time correctly, I would appreciate it. ETA:…

Aw, poor Hobbes. Hugs @shanaber

@eleanorhawkins That is funny! You are lucky! It seems to rain here every time I run. I am definitely not a badass. I always find that first step out the hardest. Once I am in it, my brain accepts I will be fine. Welcome @wittybelle ! @mbaker566 He is cute ... even if a jerk.

Had my first evening run because I couldn’t drag my butt out of bed this morning after sleeping in three days in a row. I must have really wanted to make it four. Anyway, it wasn’t great; I did run 5 mins /walk 3 mins intervals. I have tried doing all of this C25k without paying any attention to my speed or heart rate, but…

@biketheworld I was all about Altras until I tried Hokas. They are my new favourites. Very similar but the Altras slipped in the heel. I always found the Altras’ laces short as I had to do the runners’ lacing to prevent the slipping. Like @PastorVincent I don’t have to buy wide, but I wear a half size smaller in both…

@midwesterner Being that you are diabetic, I believe you are at higher risk for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, so I would ask for an ultrasound to check the gallbladder and liver. My liver function tests were high when my gallbladder went on the fritz, but I can’t remember which ones. Seems safer to rule things out…

@Orphia You have run in some wonderful costumes. I seem to remember you as superwoman too! You did look on the boney side in this one :D
-
@workaholic_nurse Good for you! I need to figure something out for hills. I always feel them in the races because it is so flat where I live.
-
@biketheworld That is impressive skill/luck you have avoiding rain. I have run quite a few races (including two halfs) and had rain in all but a couple. I wish you could transfer me some of whatever that is! So glad you beat that poor sport in the end. I suppose the fact he bet a half would be easy without training was a…

I made myself go for a walk/run this morning. It was raining, and I wanted to stay in bed. I took @Scott625's advice and did run 2 min / walk 1 min intervals rather than attempt more continuous running. It went better than the last one. Overall, I'm feeling run-down, but it's okay. I can also feel some improvement. And I…

@Scott6255 Thanks! Glad your last run went well (despite getting lost lol). Our physio is $60 to $70 a session up here, and my husband's insurance pays for 80% up to $500 or so a year. That seems like a lot to pay before you're sure it's going to make much difference. @Orphia Thank you for the reminder. I have been feeling…

@avidkeo Bwahahaha Ours never have pretty shells, we only have little snails and giant slugs. They can be dangerous, though. I twisted my ankle slipping on one. It was completely camouflaged on the trail and I landed on it exactly right (for a klutz). My son thought it was hilarious.
-
@juliet3455 OMG I should have known there was an easier way lol. Thanks!
-
I never think about food while I'm out there. It is often the motivation to get me out the door though. I might start now. Mmm, tacos and pizza.
-
Glad your car got fixed without too much trouble. Ouch, your physio sounds like no fun at all. Hope it is working!

Eek. I would say, it is done out of ignorance. For my first half marathon millions of years ago, I all-out sprinted for as long as I could (20 to 30 seconds) and then walked until I thought I could go again (probably 20 to 30 seconds). I had no idea what I was doing or that you could build endurance by keeping your heart…
-
Ha, not so tough. But thanks, everyone. I didn't know how I'd feel till I got out there. That is good advice. My pace was so slow, I might as well have been walking. I feel a lot better today, so I am hoping the worst is over.
-
@kgirlhart I just figured this out. You add spoiler and /spoiler, each in square brackets before and after the image.
-
Oooh @garygse That looks both frightening and wonderful. I'm assuming you put your leg in it and it rolls on both sides? I'll have to Google. Ouch. I ate a hot dog (sort of, a chicken/turkey sausage) at lunch and thought of "y'all." We ran out of ketchup! So, I had sauerkraut, relish, and the tiniest bit of cheese. It's…

Congratulations @MobyClark! Enjoy your new bling and thanks for the great report. @mbaker556 That is awesome! Two great runs and a super cute partner.
-
@sarahthes I don’t even remember hearing you had a coach. That’s great! Is your coach in person or online? (I have a mental block and always want to write couch instead of coach - subliminal message from my brain perhaps lol). Glad you are back on your feet!
-
@shanaber So sorry to read about Hobbes the Vizsla. Hugs!
-
@amymoreorless Yikes! I have never heard of that. Glad you are going to be okay. @MobyCarp hilarious sticker ... and looks like a lovely course! Happy racing to you and @marisap2010 tomorrow! Beautiful photos @noblsheep! Congrats on placing @BruinsGal_91 ! And on double digits @RunnerGrl1982 !
-
Kim and Elise, your videos are adorable! Elise, I imagined you having way more of a southern accent. So cute. Feel better soon! That is great news @sarahthes. Hope the run feels good!
-
Thanks! @rheddmobile and @PastorVincent, they check the margins during the biopsy of what they removed. I won’t know if they got it all until I receive those results in two to three weeks. I understand if the edges aren’t clear, they will likely redo the surgery with larger margins, but I was somewhat anxious and could be…
-
@garygse That’s funny. My son swore for the first time using a British accent when he was nine. It was because my husband had played a video game with him called The Getaway (I think), which was set in London. I was so annoyed, but it was hilarious. Are you picking up the Texas drawl?
-
@Elise4270 yeah, I wish she had given me some pain meds. Then again, my liver area was sore up until the next afternoon, I assume from the anesthetic, so maybe it is good that she didn’t. It wasn’t as bad as my brain had anticipated. Melanoma has good odds when caught early. I would definitely try to get that pathology…
