You can get back to it! Good luck this weekend!

Awesome!

I normally make pizza every Sunday night but was out of commission for a few weeks recovering from a surgery. I always pour a half glass of wine to sip while I am getting them ready for the oven. I fell back into this on Sunday and had another small glass with dinner. I managed to stop after that as I knew I had a big…

Thanks for starting the monthly thread, @garygse. Welcome, new people! @kgirlhart That is an amazing accomplishment losing so much weight and keeping it off. Very inspiring to me. I am so sorry to hear about your step-niece. Wow! That is very tragic, especially for her children. I am turning 45 near the end of the month,…

@marisap2010 How scary! Hugs to you and your pup. 10-29 2.85 miles and lower body strength 10-30 upper body strength 10-31 1.66 miles 30.24 / goal 25 miles I tried to wait for the rain to stop this morning, but Accuweather was being inAccuweather, so I finally just went out in it.

@Scott6255 Glad to hear you are running without much pain and healing well. Welcome @youngcaseyr Those are impressive numbers! @noblsheep Awesome! I loved how you thought about why you were doing the race while you were doing it. Congratulations! 3.73 miles today = 25.74 / 25 mile goal I have two more runs planned, so I…

Yep! @katharmonic and @workaholic_nurse Good luck, everyone!

@shanaber Aw, Hobbes is the best. So glad he's doing better.

Great job, Frank! Hugs, Beka! Oh, Lisa, you just described my experience/emotions perfectly. I have a problem with moderation, because even if I manage to stop myself at one, it’s never enough. I always want another and another.... I am starting to see real benefits in my sleep. I have been sleeping a solid seven hours the…

Thanks @Orphia xx It really is a battle with oneself! And I wasn’t lurking long. I simply worry whether I can keep up. I like to see if I can stay on top of the reading before I jump in.
-
I have been lurking. It has been very helpful to know I am not the only one with this issue. I had surgery in late September and had a liver complication from medication, so I have not been allowed to drink while it is healing. It was quite eye-opening. I would have said I drank socially, but suddenly, in the evenings, I…

The slow heart rate is bradycardia. Be sure to mention those episodes. I have felt very bad sometimes when I have it, like I instantly caught a flu. I will usually notice it as soon as it goes into the 40s for a few minutes (my resting is low 60s). I think you should skip the run and try to get your appt moved up. And…
-
I would visit the doctor about this. I have heart issues and was told that a 5-lb gain overnight is a worrisome sign, especially since you mention it's in your organs. Maybe it's different with diabetes. Hope you feel better soon.
-
@MegaMooseEsq Congratulations on your race. So sorry about Bowie. My heart goes out to you and your husband.
-
@LaDispute57 That sounds like a killer race. Wonderful report. Sorry you didn’t get the result you hoped for and had that drama with your phone. An amazing effort. Congratulations! Will you try it again next year?

Started a free Garmin 10K plan yesterday even though I didn't finish C25K. Since I'm signed up for a half with @sarahthes in May, I figured it was best to just keep moving forward and try to get back on schedule. Garmin gave me a new lactate threshold, but it was the same heart rate just at a slower pace (181 at…

@7lenny7 It was hard to focus on your post because Kody steals the show. So sweet. Glad you're getting your injury looked after. Toes crossed for a speedy recovery. @ContraryMaryMary lol about Avidkeo. And thanks! Yes, that's what I thought about sunscreen too. I'll stick with that then. @polskagirl01 Thanks for doing the…

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone. I am starting to feel much better. I went out and bought two hats yesterday and a new sunscreen, which should help with my sun anxiety. I am somewhat confused about whether to apply sunscreen before or after my face lotion as I thought it needed to be put on last (as a barrier), but…

Still congested from this cold that's sticking around, but I had a much better run today despite forgetting kleenex. Did C25K Week 5 Day 3 again (20 mins run, 5 mins walk, 5 mins run). I have been a hermit these past few weeks, so I am excited to get out and see First Man at the Imax this afternoon and then out for dinner.…

@garygse Hilarious! I will never pick up a quarter so eagerly again. Thanks for the well wishes and sharing all that information. Your threshold zone change was quite interesting. I hope the new ones work great. You are already so fast, those little tweaks might make all the difference for you. @workaholic_nurse Thank you!…

@HonuNui, @shanaber, @kharmonic, @sarahthes, and @juliet3455 Thank you! It was most welcome news. @shanaber I'm so sorry about your foot. I hope the x-rays are clear and you get the treatment you need to speed up recovery. I imagine it will be very difficult to stay off it to allow it to heal without some sort of a boot…
-
@Avidkeo Thanks! Yes, we are starting to look now. @7lenny7 True! Thanks! @hesn92 Totally awesome! Congratulations! @MegaMooseEsq Good luck on Sunday! @garygse That must have been so hard to do the tests right after each other. Did you have to recover quite a while (let your lactate come down) after the VO2 max? I did them…

I finally got the biopsy results from my surgeon yesterday. What a wait! The melanoma was caught in an early stage (invasive malignant melanoma: pt1a), although it was deeper and more invasive than the initial punch biopsy showed. Luckily, the surgeon had taken wide enough margins to almost achieve the 1 cm clear margins…

@Orphia I didn’t have a slot, but I ran alongside for Dennis at 4:00 pm gmt: 1.94 miles, 30 mins ❤️ Thanks to you and Elise for organizing it. Lovely and amazing.
-
@shanaber That is great news about Hobbes. Hope he is starting to feel better. @mbaker566 Sorry about the car accident. Such a cute puppy. I love seeing the photos :)
-
@hesn92 Lol totally. C230mins. I am the same.
-
@Elise So sorry about your injury. You deserve a break. Hugs. @7lenny7 I love Tillamook. We used to go there almost every summer to stay at a cabin at Cape Lookout. We skipped this summer and regretted it. And couldn’t get a cabin for our holiday time next summer. You have to book nine months in advance. It is beautiful,…

@Elise4270 Okay, will do. I didn’t want to step on any toes. I wasn’t caught up in the other thread when I signed up here.

@RunsOnEspresso volunteered for the 8am slot so I will take my name off. I didn’t realize it was taken.
