My goals for today and this week. Monday pledge ... I'm off work today and have to visit the parents. So I aim to do at least an hour of activity in the 'fat burning zone' of my Fitbit Charge HR. Into 'cardio' zone if I can manage it for part of this time. That means out walking (can't run because of my knee at the moment)…

Good luck with your first run. Let me know how you get on. I'm now on week 5 can't believe I'm doing this and enjoying it.

Lora great going. Week 5 day 1 last night, day 2 tomorrow can't wait. I've been doing an extra few minutes after each session so I hope that day 3 the dreaded 20 min run will be easier than I think. Keeping that for Saturday when I can run in the park in daylight.

I use both NHS podcast and Robert Ullrey from C25k.com on my small MP3. I don't like to carry my phone. I run/walk/shuffle a large loop which is never any more than half a mile from my home. Once the weeks progress I will change to my own music with the upbeat for running and slow tempo for the walk cooldown parts. MrsR2B…

Good going. Remember every extra step from the time before is progress. Just remember to keep it slow to avoid injury. Well done on getting this far.

I go away for a few days and come back to read all your posts and find everyone is doing so well. Well done everyone. As far as I am concerned any progress even just another 30 seconds is progress. I've still been keeping at it. Week 4 day 1 completed on Tuesday and day 2 is tonight. Can't wait to get out there after…

Got my light jacket today can't wait to get out in it tomorrow. Around 5oC here but the freezing weather is on the way so base layers under it next week I think.

Well done everyone. I'm reading your posts to inspire me to get through the programme. I've just finished week 2 and looking forward to week 3. I hope to get my name on here some day.

I do the same route through the housing estate which is approximately 1.5 miles. I let OH know when I'll be back. I don't bother carrying my phone it just anoys me. The dog walkers are getting used to seeing me now and I've only done 2 weeks. I'm feeling quite safe.

[quote=" I tried C25K and it did not work for me either. I repeated week 5 five times before giving up. I found this program: http://www.exrx.net/Aerobic/RunnersEdge/5K10K1.html to be much more attainable for me, with certain tweaks. [/quote] I've done the C25K a few times before and always get stuck at week 5 for a few…

Hi I'm MizT soon to be MrsR. I'm in my 40s and love to cycle. I have 3 bikes. Raleigh MTB for the gravel paths and up at the wind farm. My Giant hybrid is my commute to work with panniers on the back. My baby is my Specialised Sport road bike that I ride the most, I just love it. However this time of year in Scotland it is…
