Yea, Mexican is an easy 1.5-2k calories per meal.

I log everything. Weight training, cardio and food. It gives me the best idea where to tweak once I hit a plateau.

Logging your cheat meal DOES matter. Whether or not you're over your calories or not, log everything. Being honest and accurate with your lifestyle will really show what you can tweak (or work on) to keep a steady weight loss.

No offense to your trainer, but you're not building muscle weight just yet. You need to work out and/or exercise a bit more frequent than just 2 days a week. Consistency is the key. How honest/accurate are you with weighing your foods?

Start your diary, track your foods correctly (and honestly), and BOOM- weight comes down.

Protein powder is just that, it's just protein. There's no rule to take it around a workout or not. Take it as you need. I love protein powders when I'm in a pinch, or on the road. Easy calories and protein.

Make sure you measure your food correctly. This was my biggest mistake last year. Measure your whole foods by the grams, rather than by the cup size.

Since I work a desk job, I love getting a workout in before and after work. Makes me feel great. Usually just weights in the morning, and cardio after work.
