I've never seen that, but I sure want a notification that I can add in 450 extra calories! LOL

This. Start small. You're already on a calorie deficit. No need to do cardio 6x a week.
-
All the best! I started my training for my first half in May!

Calories in vs. calories out. Track your foods, and be as honest in tracking as you can.

Tallmadge, OH checking in!

I can't tell you how much actually weighing my carbs out in grams, opposed to 1/2 cups, 1 cup, etc. has made a difference. It's so much more accurate this way.

I used to eat the same *kitten* day in and day out. That ultimately resulted in weight loss, however it also put my weight back on at times due to the fact that I had much more urges to binge. MFP helped me tremendously to give me much more variety in my diet, and thus minimizing my "cheating." Check out Layne Norton when…

How dare you speak of carbs as evil!! :p

Always do what fits your schedule. You'll be much more motivated that way. Since I'm a morning person, working out is easier for me before going into work at 8am.

I won't lie. This is exactly what I thought after reading the topic.
-
I exercise first thing in the morning. Since I can hold food down very well, I always have a meal beforehand. All the best on your journey!

It's a myth. Eat then exercise or exercise then eat- it's all going to yield the same results.
-
Why are you bumping a thread when it's a sticky? LOL Great topic. I tossed my measuring cups away last year, and did everything solid by the gram and it's helped me out tremendously.
-
Excellent topic! I agree with you 100%. I tell my friends, and I cannot stress this enough. STOP doing 1000 crunches a day. Diet and compound movements is the key.

This. And everyone is going to burn a different amount due to weight, age, rep range, time between sets, etc. There are so many factors, that it's just too hard for some online calculator to get right.

I've never done anything less than 4 reps in the past 3-4 years. I usually go 315x8 for my last set.

Check out bodybuilding.com. They have TONS of meal plans for ones specific goals. And all their meal plans are pretty straightforward and nothing too fancy.
