I always pack a snack/lunch If I know I wont be able to make my own meals for the day. I have lost about 40 lbs in 100 or so days doing this so I can completely control the portions and quality of the food I eat and there really is no better/cheaper way.

Oatmeal (no sugar added) is my go to fill-up, low calorie snack and you can mix an endless amount of things with it.

Chicken breast with Okra, mixed vegetables, and sliced tomatoes with some Feta cheese and teriyaki sauce, yummmmmm

Agreed, I do have a goal of losing weight but also to run a faster mile, wear smaller size clothing and etc.
