Because you know for a fact that you can run faster than someone who is trying to get you? Mmkay.

^^ What they said. OP: How does my body know the difference between a frozen meal and one that I made from scratch? What about the meal that I made from scratch, put into an individual serving size container and then put in the freezer? Will my body deposit that as fat because it's frozen and essentially a "prepackaged…

FFS it was just an example. Obviously a bad one. My point was why wouldn't you tell someone where you are going regardless? Again, not everyone takes a phone with them when they head out for a quick run or walk. I never used to until my husband twisted his ankle bad when we were out for a run and I had to run back home to…
-
Or he just happened to be walking in the same direction as you.

Um, yeah. It could happen because not everyone takes their phones with them when they go out running. Regardless if I take my phone with my I always let my husband know which route I'm running so he knows approximately how long it will take me. What good is a phone going to do me if I'm rendered unconscious and stuffed…

I used to have a fitness center where I worked and did aerobic classes at noon a couple times a week for my cardio. It was quite convenient. I also showered afterwards (sorry but I just can't see doing a quick wipe down after sweating my butt off for an hour. That's just gross and just because I can't smell myself doesn't…

That's a bummer. I am lucky because there is a farm right around the corner from where I live where I get raw milk. The last batch I got was right from the cow. Seriously. My jug was still warm!!
-
Sure, if you live in an area where it's sunny all the time so you can go outside and expose the majority of your skin. Most people aren't that lucky. They are working in an office 8-10 hours a day in areas where it's freezing cold out and there isn't a lot of sun.

Pasteurization kills the good bacteria and damages the vitamins so yeah, they're removing the good stuff and adding it back in.

Don't eat it? When I used to work for a company and they had pot lucks or pizza and things for meetings I'd stay away for the most part. Sometimes I'd have a slice of pizza but usually not.

So if crowds of new people prevent you from getting in, getting it done and leaving doesn't that apply to crowds of the regular people as well? I mean a crowd is a crowd new or old.
-
I do. I get a blood test every 6 months and I still supplement on my own.
-
And if you happen to love milk? I get raw milk from a local farm. The last time I got a gallon it was as fresh as fresh can be, like RIGHT from the cow. Pretty awesome if you ask me. Also it's some of the best milk out there.
-
Here's a question: how do you know that the new people even quit? They could have simply changed the time that they workout. My husband and I would go to the gym in the morning and for a long time we weren't making it so we were going later in the afternoon, sometimes borderline evening. So sure the regular morning crew…

I don't see how not liking steak would make someone a picky eater. I know people who don't like pork or chicken. I try new foods and the like as well but if I were going out on a first date with someone I'd make sure I knew their likes and dislikes. I mean, if they absolutely hated fish -- I have a friend who won't eat…

Have fun and don't worry about it! EVERYONE started off the same place you are.

I used to take a couple of aerobics classes where there were a few guys in it. It was pretty cool to see them there. One guy was taking a step class for the first time. I was a little annoyed at the instructor because he didn't know any of the moves and she didn't take the time to show him. When I first took step the…

I'm trying to figure out the whole prescription for Vitamin D thing. I mean, you can just go to the store and get it. I get at least 7,000 - 8,000 IU's of vitamin D per day, non prescription vitamin D at that.

What if that's what she truly wants? There are some salads on menus that look absolutely amazing and are big enough to be a meal. And what if she doesn't eat steak? I would honestly hope that you would know what your date likes prior to picking out a restaurant.
-
Based on what you've narrowed it down to I don't see an issue with the grilled chicken and veggies. If you don't want the rice then just ask them to double up on the vegetable serving. I've been doing that at restaurants when one of the other side choices is a starch.

I personally don't like it. I don't think it adds anything to my food besides a sweet flavor. I used to have a wicked sweet tooth -- I'd sugar my sugared cereals, get my coffees light and sweet -- and after many years of not adding sugar to anything and reading labels for added sugar I don't miss it. I can definitely tell…

So get there earlier so you have your spot.

Honestly I never could understand that philosophy. I exercise because I like it and sure I want to lean out and drop a few pounds. But exercise to eat more? No. That's like hitting DQ for a large blizzard when you're done with the gym because you "earned" it. Besides, the calories burned aren't100% accurate so you could…

I haven't really noticed any newbies at my gym. It was a bit more crowded early this morning but other than that I haven't seen a big rush. But then again I'm not really paying attention to it. If there ARE newbies there they're pretty much sticking to the cardio machines right now.
-
Believe me no one is laughing at you. Heck I'm pretty sure they aren't paying attention to you. They might have glanced at you but after they passed I'm pretty sure they didn't give you a second thought. Kinda sad really. I mean here you are thinking that all these people in the cars are looking at you and in reality they…

Why the heck did this get flagged? I'm beginning to think people are using it as a "like" button.

I've never heard of no lifting for 24 hours after donating blood. I've been told to not exercise afterwards but I've never been told I couldn't exercise the next day.
-
This for sure. I get wanting variety but sometimes it's easier to have a few meals that you cycle during the week. On a side note: it sounds like you're bowing down to your kids. If it were me they would either eat what I make, not eat at all or make something for themselves. I never could understand making a dozen…

Gotcha. I misread your original post. :)

That doesn't mean he's making bank off of it. Sure the fee is $3k a year but then there's your rent. Depending on how many SF your place is and your location you could be paying $3-4k/month -- or more -- for rent. And then there's your utilities: water, heat, electricity. Not to mention all the insurance you have to carry,…
