I make my own pizza from scratch and its low carb and the entire 8" pizza is only 198 calories. I make the crust from cauliflower and bake it with either pesto, or tomato sauce and top it with tomatoes, grilled chicken, fresh mozerella and basil. It relatively easy to make...less than an hr.

I agree. Not everyone is the same. Weight loss is a lot of trial and error and seeing what works for you. I personally didn't change the macros or calories unless I had two weeks of no change, then I would just tweak it a little and go from there.
