You can go out as often as you want. You just look up the nutrition ahead of time and fit it into your calories. If you go out and eat blindly and as much as you want then you can definitely gain weight if that's what you're asking. There isn't a magic number though for how often you should or shouldn't go out. Red Lobster…

Along with the others questions do you take a multivitamin? It might help/might not, but I know when I was pregnant and would forget to take mine I would feel completely drained of energy... Not that its exactly the same situation, but if you are low on certain vitamins you can definitely feel drained. There are also types…

Did they feel like really bad cramps that radiate through your calves too? They make it hard for me to keep working out because my legs start shaking and my ankles and feet will go kind of numb. I've never had shin splints before so I'm just wondering if that is what they actually feel like or if this might be something…

Sounds like you're an awesome father and you've done a great job!

Also wanting to know where you find chicken chorizo? This looks delicious!

ETA- I agree 1200 is too low and MFP always calculated a lower calorie intake for me than I got when I used the TDEE calculator so that's why I'm suggesting it :)
-
Try using a TDEE calculator and eating at a 15-20% deficit of your TDEE. Is that still showing around 1200? http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/

What exactly are you thinking about? Are you just focused on "bad" food because you feel hungry all the time, or are you constantly thinking of meal plans for the week? How to eat less? I think it kind of depends on what your thoughts are as to what you should do about it or how serious it might be. How long have you been…

Maybe you would enjoy weight lifting or another form of exercise more? A lot of people on here don't really seem to like cardio. I personally enjoy it, but some ideas to help you get through it more easily- make a playlist that really gets you pumped up and excited to work out or watch a show that you really enjoy while…

I'm around your age and was with a guy once who would say things about how he dated a model before me and how he's just used to really skinny girls. And he would say that I just needed to work on my lower stomach or boast about how he would do some crunches/push ups before I came over. Those comments hurt and they are…

I'll look for it when I go. I know we have a couple brands at my grocery, but I can't remember all of them
-
Mmm gelato... I need to go to the grocery

rice cakes, fruit (can serve/dip in yogurt as another suggested), mini candy pieces (I ususally have 2 snickers minis when I'm wanting some chocolate, but you can fit most chocolates in with 200 cal to spare), cereal and almond milk, skinnypop, oats n' honey bar, quest bar, veggie straws (or veggie chips), pickles, cheese…

Plus, a lot of these things you can make in bulk and freeze so it really won't be that much more work :) I like to make soups and pasta sauce in large portions and freeze for later.

I dont think anyone said this, but I was skimming. You can mix it with salsa to use as your dressing for taco salads or as a topping for regular tacos/burritos/naked burritos
-
chicken, rice, and veggies meatloaf and roasted parmesean green beans chicken salads spaghetti and turkey meatballs fish, rice, and veggies
-
Lunches and dinners loaded potato soup, salsa chicken with refried beans and cheese (used for tacos), chicken salad, pasta with chicken, alfredo, peas, mushrooms, and broccoli. and extra chicken breast that I made sides for throughout the week

Yes, my math was off. Oops. Thanks for catching that. I'm running low on sleep and waiting for my shift to end. What is the difference in the Scooby's calculator and the one on iifym? Is one preferred over the other or just personal preference?
-
If any of that isn't making sense or you would prefer a more detailed answer then this should help clear it up: http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/

Just checked your profile and saw your age. Your TDEE is 2933 cal/day which means to lose weight you should be eating about 1000 calories less than that for your 2lbs a week desired loss. So 1933 calories a day. Currently you aren't even consuming enough calories to cover your BMR (this is the amount of calories your body…

What is your age?

I work from 4:30pm to 4am and for me I try to save a good amount of calories for nights just because I tend to "bored eat" while I'm at work. I have a desk job and don't move much here though- you may not have the same problem being a nurse. I just try to bring healthy lower cal snacks to keep in my office for when I feel…

You could try meal prepping if you are wanting more home-cooked meals. You would only really have to cook one day a week (you could do it while your little one naps) and then portion everything into tupperware for the week ahead. You can also portion out snacks to keep on you when you are out and about- bags of…

It only gets easier. Hang in there. You will get the hang of it all and find what works for you.

This.

Yes. I totally feel your pain. I work 4pm to 4:30am and all of my co-workers eat out every single night. And of course the only thing available that late is pizza and fast food.

Actually the problem with the Oscar Meyer one is the fat is off. It shows me that it should be 3g fat per serving which would correct the calories. Sorry, missed that at first. Are the barcode ones actually entered by MFP themselves or do they just tag the barcodes onto entries others have made?
-
They just go by exactly what the nutrition label says (and oscar meyer has it listed at 35cal per slice).
-
You should probably go have a real s'mores. Like nowish. You're missing out.

I've battled eating disorders since I was 9 years old. Have you considered seeing a therapist who specializes in things like this? There is a lot that goes along with eating disorders aside from the obvious and maybe it will help to have someone who understands and can talk to you in depth. You are battling a lot of…
