  • Yes, sometimes it had made me re-evaluate my definition of what a friend is. If someone is successful at something I would be happy for them not jealous. If that's the case I believe they were not a friend to begin with. If they can be jealous about my success in weight loss they will be jealous in my success in other…

  • Good job with your progress so far! You look much happier too. :)
  • I had bypass but have struggled with the tiredness as well. I would just add to make sure in addition to getting the sleep your body needs at this time also take iron, B12, calcium and all vitamins ordered diligently. Feel better soon.
  • You have made excellent progress, you look great!! Keep up the good work.
  • Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. It's normal to be a bit anxious before such a life changing surgery. I actually felt calmer once I got in to the facility. You will be fine, this is a good thing.
  • Thank you @JenaOnTrack74 it is why most of us go through surgery.
  • That's awesome!
  • I agree, the same people who look down on those who are overweight may in the future find themselves trying to lose a substantial amount of weight as well and not have the answers.
  • I cannot relate to that experience but I wanted to say that I'm glad your surgical group is attentive to your needs, feel better soon.
  • @tat2cookie Congratulations! I had a similar experience yesterday evening, I was able to purchase a pair of jeans that were a size 4! I think in comparison they may be a 6 with other jeans brands but I was amazed I could even fit that size.
  • Thank you for explaining and I will be mindful to pay attention to my body as well. I am glad you are back on track to health.
  • Lori, loss is never easy and I am sorry to hear about Jim's passing. It does seem like you are ready to "get cracken". It no longer seems that you are a slacker as your husband helped stop that. Lol. As the above posters said back to basics, log in honestly and take accountability. Take advantage of the gift of weight loss…
  • @cabennett99 may I ask what what symptoms you were having that led you to the ER? The location of pain any nausea or vomiting? Just so I may know more of what to look for. I am glad you took the symptoms serious enough and got treatment.
  • @krissymae88 congratulations on your decision to have surgery. The best advice I was given in my start to get approval for surgery is to document my attempts at weight loss as a previous poster mentioned. This includes membership to a gym or a diet club of any sort. Also you can get get going with standard testing in the…
  • I stopped at Target to pick up another water bottle to keep my water cold. As I was driving home I noticed some of the fast food places I would frequent. They included Subways, McDonalds and Baskin Robbins. Part of me wondered if I was missing something, but I am not. I am so happy I'm not ordering a whole grinder, a…
  • Thanks for posting, you didn't give up and were determined to take control of your health. You look great, congratulations on the success.
  • I was uncomfortable driving my car and didn't realize that I had lost so much weight I needed to adjust the steering wheel. I had to pull the steering wheel out as far as it could go towards me so I could be more comfortable driving. It took a while for that to register.
  • You look wonderful, congratulations!
  • Thanks, you will get there before you know it!
  • I'm happy the scale is moving for you again. I was curious about the responses and outcomes as I am getting closer to goal and was wondering the same thing. Congratulations on your accomplishment so far!
  • I made it to the "normal" range on the BMI chart today. It's a good feeling but since I just made it, it's motivation to keep going to my goal.
  • That's awesome that you have maintained. Good going.
  • Thank you for starting this thread and thank you to all the ladies who posted. This is really inspirational and encouraging. I am hoping to get to my goal weight and maintain it for the rest of my life. I am 5'6".
  • That was so silly to say and people have said ridiculous things to me as well. The most crazy was "you're eating lunch, you look like your not eating". I just laughed and said really, if I wasn't eating I would be dead. Some people are just jealous and it comes out in what they say. It's unfortunate because I'm always one…
  • Hi, I can relate as well because I had revision and was on my own pretty much. The resources are there if you look and it's so much easier to see results and learn new healthier habits than with the band in my opinion. In the beginning I would suggest rest, let your body heal and focus on getting through the food stages.…
  • You look great tat2cookie! Good job!
  • I did not have to do the test for sleep apnea. My Pulmonologist didn't think I needed it based on my history and exam. Something for me to think about though...
  • Thank you for the responses, I will call the Doctors office and request blood work including the Thyroid tests, Vit B, etc. There are days I just can't stomach getting in more calories than 850-900 but I got about 1100 today because I was feeling especially tired and thought it might help. My main source of activity is…
  • @hockey7fan congratulations on your revision. I am happy overall with my surgery. I've had a few setbacks but nothing like the everyday regret when I had the lap band. The lap band made me appreciate this surgery even more so I did get something out of it. Wish you the best.
