So many studies are flawed in their data collection and bias. Who is to say those people didn't start running because they had a predisposition to bad health and were looking to improve their health by running? How old were the participants? Did they take equal numbers from different age group randomly for each of the…

I love running and am about to complete my second marathon (albeit slowly). Feel free to add me!

Keep it up! You can do anything you put your mind to :)

Most of my "highs" come after about mile 4 when I'm feeling good and on pace. Everything else just sort of falls away and I definitely feel full of energy and free. This happens for me quite often (at least once a week). When I go for longer (8, 10+) I usually feel it again every couple of miles for a mile or two. Best…

I second this! Their cookbook is solid and super yummy. It is my go-to when I want to make something healthy to fuel my running.

5'6" SW: 186 CW: 167 GW: 150-155 I'm already at my goal size (8) and feel really fit. I just want to get lighter to help my running and lose some of the extra stuff I've got on my arms and legs. Then I will really focus on toning.

I'm running the Myrtle Beach Marathon too! How is it? Have you done it before?

I'm the same way...you are not alone.

Here are some "tips" that I use to stay on track and eat healthy most days: 1) water first-if I feel hungry, I drink a glass of water. Sometimes hunger we feel is really just thirst! This also insures I get enough water everyday, and makes me more mindful of my eating. 2) fruit bowl on my desk at work-when I get the…

PR'd during the Portland Holiday Half on Saturday. Ran a (nearly consistent) 11min/mile pace and finished in 2:25. It was a sunny, fairly cool day and perfect for running! Can't wait for my next race!

I LOVE hiking. The weeks I get a good hike in I always lose weight. I'm up in the PNW too....so I never run out of hiking options!
