  • It's interesting to see such a variation in weights for people within the same height/age range. I have a larger frame at 5'5" and I doubt that I will ever be able to get below 145 w/o being miserable. I'm still losing pretty steadily now and am at 156. I'm interested to see what I look like (and how I feel) after I've…
  • One of my co-workers asked me if it was okay to tell me that I looked skinny...she had heard that it was offensive to some people! I told her that I appreciated that she noticed I had lost weight, and it was okay. I also said that since I wasn't actually skinny ( 5'5" and 156#) I considered myself to be "less large" lol.…

  • I also had success on earlier versions of WW, but then it stopped working for me...probably because of the free fruit. I didn't want to keep spending the $$ for a program that no longer worked. I have found MFP to be even better for me. I have to count all the calories (even fruit) and I now have a better understanding…
  • I am addicted to certain foods - especially if they contain sugar. For example, I would eat an entire chocolate cake or a carton of ice cream - even when I'm am uncomfortably full. Something drives me to keep eating. I considered sugar to be a "trigger food" that I need to avoid. I also have to watch starchy foods - I…
  • I'm also doing 1200 calories a day. I measure everything that doesn't come in a package (to make sure I accurately account for the calories.) I also love that stores are carrying pre-made salads. Many of them are under 300 calories and make great lunches! There is a wide variety so I don't get bored. I also make sure I…

  • I've recently discovered their salads and LOVE them! Many are in the 300 calorie range which is perfect for lunch. The only thing I don't like is that they run out of them too early in the day. This is a weird, negative thread, IMO - I'd rather have a pro/con discussion instead of a "I hate xxx" discussion, but that's just…
  • I find it easier to "earn" the extra calories by doing more exercise. I'm a hiker, so when I'm out for a 10+ mile hike I get more extra calories than I can actually eat! If you have a special event coming up, try to increase your exercise for a few days ahead. Maybe that will balance out the weekly totals and not mess up…
  • I'm hoping to lose ~25 lbs by August, so I'll give this a shot! SW:200 (January) CW:179 GW:165 (for June - seems more attainable) GW:155 (for August family reunion) GW:145 (the long term goal ~ by next year?)
  • I'm eating turkey, steamed broccoli, baked yam, cranberry orange relish, and pumpkin custard made with ff egg mix, skim milk and splenda. I also plan to walk a few miles!
