  • Feel free to add me, I'm not particularly chatty but I do 'like' status updates and am paying attention even if it seems like I'm not. if you ask a question on your status I'll answer if I feel I have something that can help, or something that helped me. I tend to eat low carb since I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
  • Make cauliflower salad (potato salad recipe of your choice, just make it with cauliflower instead of potato's)... I call it cauliflower salad, For me if I think of it as a substitution I always seem to be disappointed. If I don't try to kid myself by calling it 'mock' or so forth I tend to be less critical. But that's me.…
  • Introvert here as well, anyone here should feel free to add me for more of that non-creepy stalkerish introvert kinda support.
  • Best time for him to get on it and not wait until he's actually diagnosed as diabetic. So, though it's not the best news it's a lot better than being too late! I'm Type 2... losing 30 pounds has caused my blood sugars to stay in the normal range... I also walk. Don't make a ton of drastic changes all at once... but more…

I like this…

  • I've been going to Planet Fitness, no doubt there are a lot of people who pay and don't go. My budget wouldn't afford more and I wasn't sure I would stick with it to begin with. I've been going for 20 weeks now (3-4 times a week is normal for me, but I have had a week where I went 5 days). It's not close to home, but it is…
  • You CAN do it... a doctor told me to set goals that were 10% of my body weight... my first goal was 23 lbs... you could also do it by what you want to lose... I had a total of 115 lbs.. so that would be 11 1/2 lbs. I started out by just walking my 15 minute breaks at work. At first I was very slow but as I got used to it I…
  • I use my Foreman a lot. I agree on the pressure cooker/crockpot combo.... I have one and you can brown your meat then slow cook it in the same pot.. or can use the pressure cooker... just look at whats there... you can find one that steams/pressure cooks/browns/slow cooks. Good Knives...
  • Congratulations! Well done! I hit one-derland recently myself so I know how good that feels. Keep up the good work.

  • This one is so me now! I've also had several people start asking me when I'm going shopping for new clothes.. the old ones are getting pretty baggy... that feels so good! An unfun thing.... now I hate my upper arms... they are so floppy... I never noticed them when they were just huge.. but down 25 pounds and now I notice…
