Stumbled upon this old post. So I'm not alone! I often cry after Jillian Michaels workouts.

I know that at his point I either give up on myself or figure out a way to be healthy. I am resposible for my daughter's future eating habits and her body image. I want to be able to show her instead of just telling.

It's not very rational, but my pet peeve is when people say, "If I can do it, anyone can". Even if they underwent a fantastic transformation and know where I'm coming from, I could never relate to that. In theory, anybody can lose weight, but I feel like people who succeed in losing and maintaining have mentally grown…

Hi, I have similar goals, and I've been at it for 20 days. I already had my first crisis: I went way over my weekly calories limit, but fellow MFP'ers helped me by reminding that the first few weeks are about observation and analysis of your eating habits, so you can make reasonable changes and not burn out.

Your fitness progress is truly impressive. Many skinny people cannot do what you do, so don't belittle your results. You are amazing and an inspiration to me

Not quit.

My cramps are pretty severe the first couple of days. So yoga and stretching for me.

Sometimes I pretend that I have already eaten two or three helpings or an entire cake (I only eat one portion, but as I'm eating it I imagine that this is my third one). IDK if this is a healthy strategy but it helps me deal with this problem.

Having kids puts everything in perspective. As a parent, you surely know how much patience and strength you have. I read it in another forum topic (and I find it helfpul for myself) that in times of weekness you can talk to yourself as you would to your child. It sounds silly but by doing this you aknowlege that you need…

My favorite so far is popsugar fitness. They are fun and non-monotonous. Also, I like that they have longer videos (30-40 minutes), as I am not a fan of 10 minute ones.

I've done this yoga colon cleanse several times. It consists of drinking salt water and doing a seires of simple poses. Sorry if TMI, but for me it worked exactly as described. At the end of the procedure you drink water and clean water comes right out. Not very graceful, but at least it's painless and nothing goes up your…

Thanks everybody, I feel much better now. Yes, I do need to eat more vegetables. I used to eat vegetable broth every day for lunch growing up, and I am not so fond of it :) Veggies always go bad in our fridge, and it's a shame.

Thank you. I almost forgot that at this point I'm just trying to figure out how to eat to be most satisfied within a given calories range for the day.

So good to hear about your success! I just assumed that it's something that comes with pregnancy and there's not much to be done about it. On the side note. It's probably even more awkward than coming out about my incontinence. Kegels make me so aroused, that there's no way I can do them anywhere unnoticed. It's not even…

It's good to know that there are other chocolate addicts out there. Although even thinking of dark chocolate makes me sad. I hate it. It's bitter and still makes me feel guilty for eating it, so definitely not for me. I have lost and gained weight too many times to count and I feel like nothing workss long term. For now…

Not often do I get to say this: here's where your basic algebra comes in handy -unit conversions! Although it's not at all helpful when eating out :)

I found this amazing asymmetric shirt in an upscale consignment store, and I can't wait to be able to wear it. It's the only small item I own today. I had kept my old small clothes for years in my closet, hoping to eventually lose weight, but I realized it was kind of depressing. So I donated them all and filled my…

I am happy to have found this discussion, even though it's 3 years old. I am facing the same problem. My skin is usually pretty clear, so I am not used to having breakouts, not even on my period. I guess I'll just have to wait it out and hope that in a few months the zits will disappear along with the extra lbs :)

You look great!! I have a similar body type and used to hate my wide hips that stay wide at any weight. Now I look at your photos and see how gorgeous and feminine this body shape is, and how stupid I was to not love it when I had it. You are such an inspiration!

Chocolate is my sin food. I try not to buy it myself because I know I'll eat the whole bag and destroy all the evidence (except for the extra pounds on my butt). I'll still eat it as a treat at someone else's place, when offered. This way I get to enjoy it occasionally but can't eat too much because the fear of being…

With the pouch, all jeans are "mom jeans". I HATE it!!!

Honestly, this made me so emotional, I teared up. Thank you for this post. It's unexpectedly powerful to me.

I am greatful for my family and friends. I am greatful to have a healthy daughter and a good husband. I am greatful for all the opportunities I have, as an immigrant to the US (now a legal citizen) I am greatful for my sanity

From my miserable experience, there's no such thing as "finally". I don't mean that one need to infintely loose weight, but you always have to work on yourself. Although I don't think I ever felt skinny, even when I was.

Hi, I know how you feel. I really want there to be a switch in my head, that I (or someone else) could just flip, and I don't have to think about food all the time. I even dream about cake, and then feel guilty in my sleep. I have never taken drugs, but sweets are my drug. I can't go one day without them. If I restrict…

Hi, I'm on day two as well. Let's see how day three goes (THANKSGIVING with the family!!) Good luck to us all!
