Best advice? Make sure you wear it Every. Day.

You've already received some great advice. Slow and steady wins the race. Have determination, strength and perseverance to see it through. You'll thank yourself a year from now if you stick with it. Good luck.

+1, even if it's just with yourself

People could give a s*** less about you saying no to food they offer you. Seriously. Don't worry about hurting their feelings. Just say no thanks, I'm good. You could even add maybe later, just to soften the blow. Practice makes perfect. No,nope, nah, no thanks, pass, next time...take your pick.

Pick your self up, brush it off and get back to it. Everyone slips up, nobody is perfect. Just keep on keeping on and don't let one failed day ruin everything.

Walking probably accounts for 80% of my exercise and I've lost almost 30 pounds. Yes, it's totally worth it.

I don't think I've ever seen someone flat out call an OP lazy. It's been my experience that people get on here, complain about x,y, or z, receive truthful and blunt advice about their "problem" and then get butt hurt because they aren't being coddled and given the responses they want to hear.

At least you worked out a little bit. The great thing about MFP is it calculates your calorie goal to lose weight even if you don't exercise. Stay within that number and you'll be fine. One missed day of exercise won't kill you. Just don't let it become a habit.
-
Probably not. Even 2 pounds a week for 5 months would be difficult. It would take some serious hard core dedication. And after 5 months, then what? The point of losing weight, IMO, is teaching yourself new long term habits. I don't think brief and intense weight loss is the way to do that.

I'm going to assume that since you work full time you get 2 breaks and a lunch hour. Walk on your 15 minute breaks and again on your lunch hour. If that doesn't work for you, exercise before work or after work.
-
Yes. It is worth it. I cook for my husband and two boys every night. They help themselves to what I make and I weigh out my portions. For example, we had fish tacos last night. I weighed my fish, cheese and rice. They dished up as they desired. You can still cook and weigh out portions.

I'm going to try and say f*** and s*** a little less this year. I sure do enjoy my swear words.

From personal experience, when I started dieting and exercising my milk supply tanked. So, unless your baby is eating solids and starting to have regular milk and water, I would hold off on the diet part. Eat at your maintenance level and you should be fine.

Hahahaha hahahaha!

I think a lot of people use negative self talk as a source of motivation and it really works against us. I've recently started using positive words for myself instead of negative ones. Strength, commitment, self-worth, beauty, stuff like that.

My new mantra; commitment, strength

If you don't want to count calories then don't. Just keep in mind that "clean" and "vegan" doesn't necessarily equal low calorie. It's all about portion control.

Long answer short, no. It's not unreasonable. Just because a doctor tells you, you have the option to do something doesn't mean you have to. They can prescribe pills, but you don't have to pick up the prescription. He can suggest surgery, but you don't have to. Especially if you aren't comfortable with it. It sounds like…

"Healthy" doesn't always equal low calorie. Re-evaluate what you eat for breakfast and lunch. Try to spread your calories out throughout the day. Light breakfast, mid morning snack, light lunch, mid afternoon snack, small portions for dinner. Or, break your breakfast in half. For example today I'm having coffee with fat…

Cut way down on drinking Quit using f*** and s*** as sentence enhancers

I can't be your workout buddy because you're a packers fan...sorry ;) Plus I don't live in West Hills

Your logging streak should be when you've actually completed your food diary for the day. When I first signed up, that's what I thought the streak meant. Then I learned it's just for logging in...that's stupid. What's the point? If it doesn't make you accountable then why even have it.

+1 What's the rush to lose weight? 1.6 pounds a week is a reasonable loss. After you lose weight how are you planning on keeping it off? The whole point, IMO, of weight loss is teaching yourself healthy, sustainable, lifelong eating and exercise habits. Most people who lose weight on fad diets end up gaining it all back…

Beer.

Ha! That's what I told myself on Saturday (I actually did pretty good yesterday).

Exercise during pregnancy is definately a good thing. It sounds like what you're doing is perfect. I walked 2-5miles almost every single day when I was pregnant up until the day I went into labor. I never hurts to have stamina built up before labor because labor is hard work. I wouldn't "diet" during pregnancy but you may…

I'll give it a go.

The day I meet my weight loss goal, hmmm...probably roll out of bed at 5 am, get on the scale, do a quick jig for reaching my goal, get in the shower and proceed to go to work. Just like every other day. Maybe I'll order a Victoria secret bra online while at work (I'm a rebel)
