  • Walking on your lunch break, long walks on the weekends, exercise DVD's in your living room...oh and burn more calories than you eat. You don't have to exercise to lose weight. It's helpful and beneficial, but not necessary. Did you put your stats into MFP? Eat as many calories as MFP suggests and you'll start dropping…
  • Interesting...and where did you leant this tid bit of info? Cite your source
  • They're not putting down the person. They're putting down the idea. People get on here and say "I'm going to take this diet pill" or "I'm doing the _______ Cleanse" or "how do I get rid of toxins in my body" and they often spread misconceptions to other people who don't know any better. These types of posters also tend to…
  • I weigh every day, this is totally normal. On Saturday I weighted 186.6. Today, 3 days later I weighed 191.9...no way did I gain 5 pounds of fat. It's just from being bad this weekend and PMS. I'll be back down to 187 in the next few days. No biggie.
  • Try eating small meals all day. Load up on something for lunch with plenty of protein. Drink more water. Chew gum.
  • I've lost almost 30 and my 14's are finally starting get loose. I can wear some of my 12's, but they're still a bit snug. If you've got a lot to lose, you might not see a noticeable difference until you've lost more.
  • I like answer A much better. If you make losing weight sound fun (and easy), more people would be inclined to do it.
  • You don't have to explain yourself to anyone. A simple no thanks will do in most situations when people are trying to push food and/or drinks on you. That, or you can say I'm not hungry, I'm not drinking tonight, etc...pick your excuse. As for your fiancé, tell him you need his support or at the very least no comments…
  • If you're feeling hungry on 1,200 calories, why don't you up your calorie intake a little bit? I tried eating 1200 for a while and was miserable.
  • Completely agree, it's really not that hard. It just takes dedication and discipline. Losing weight is easy once you've seen through fad diets, junk "weight loss" products, etc and realized that if you burn more calories than you eat you'll lose weight.

  • You'll have a healthy digestive system...that's for sure!
  • Totally agree with @Dnarules, this isn't specific to WW, the same could be said for MFP. Many people log on, lose the weight, quit and gain it back. The only difference is MFP is free. Back to the OP, I don't see the difficulty here. You are already doing exactly what you need to be doing, minus weighing the fruits &…
  • No. One or two cookies a day is awesome! You eat whatever you want, just make sure it fits into your daily calorie limit. I literally just ate a chocolate covered cracker and a cup of coffee w/ cream and sugar and it was delightful. It fit into my day and that's okay.
  • I used to do the same exact thing! I wanted my friends to think I was drinking, when I really wasn't. I was ultra cautious at high school parties because I didn't want to be the girl who did something stupid or got taken advantage of. It worked like a charm.

  • I'm going to have to both agree and disagree with this statement. You aren't setting yourself up for failure by imagining what you'll look like when you're reached your goal weight. I have a vision of myself looking smoking hot in yoga pants and a sports bra and by God, I am going to make that happen. I'll also be…
  • I tried diet pills once in high school...all they did was make me act like a crazy meth addict. It was awful and I didn't lose weight.
  • I completely understand your struggle. I have a fun loving, alcohol consuming family as well and I can tell you from experience it takes time, practice and discipline to get your drinking under control. I've been at this for 6 months now and still have difficulty with not popping a beer after work. It really comes down to…

  • You can still drink diet coke, just brush and floss regularly after words. If you really are going to give up diet coke though, a good alternative is carbonated mineral water. You still get the fizz without the sugar. I like the lemon flavored kind, it's pretty good.
  • This. It will prevent a lot of hurt feelings.
  • Pump, pump, pump it up.
  • Meh, I'd give it a shot if it were free. The show I saw said it literally freezes the fat and kills the fat cells. Then over a period of 6 months your body "takes care" of the dead fat cells. Definitely not a weight loss solution, but I suppose it could be used to spot reduce.
  • Read the announcements at the very top of this discussion page. Calorie Counting 101, So you want a nice stomach, logging accurately and consistently, on your way to sexy pants. They're full of great info and a good place to start.
  • Celery sautéed in coconut oil...mmmm. I trying that one. NOT!
  • Mmmm....maybe 20 pounds in 4 months.
  • I'm guessing part of that statistic has to do the fact that people who take the time to exercise 1 hour per day are also conscientious about what they eat. What good is exercise if your eating like $#!t @Hornsby & @yesimpson said it best. Diet and exercise are important. No contradiction there.

  • I have the Fitbit One and I feel naked if I leave the house with out it. I have a few different hill walks I take for exercise, it's great that the One takes into consideration floors climbed and not just steps taken. I use MFP for my calorie count and Fitbit for my calorie burn. It's super small so you can wear it on your…
