Take a before pic. You'll be glad you did later. Take your measurements. Update these monthly or semi monthly. Get a food scale and weigh everything to the gram. Also, as I understand it those scales are pretty much useless when it comes to calculating anything more than BMI.

I weigh daily. I take measurements once a month, after my cycle when I'm less likely to be bloated. My body fat percentage is still "yes" so I don't worry about that one too much (50lbs from goal lol)

What is your activity level set at? If it's sedentary, and you're not actually sedentary, you can see some big numbers.
-
I usually see around 5lbs, but can see a jump of 8 sometimes. Falls off a few days after my cycle.
-
Are you weighing your food? Perhaps subconsciously your portion sizes have increased. When I quit, I gained weight because food tasted AMAZING all of a sudden. Tighten up your logging, add a walk after dinner, and see what happens.

Took it for a month. Lost 25 lbs. Felt fine, just never hungry. Would often find myself going "OH GOD ALL DID WAS DRINK COFFEE TODAY" Stopped taking it because my resting heart rate when from 60ish to 130+. First thing in the morning, without getting out of bed or even sitting up. Gained back 12 of 25 in the first two…

Another thing you might try is in addition to having your husband dispense the cans of coke for you, is giving him your debit card/cash when he leaves the house so you can't just follow behind him 10 minutes later.

I must have missed where she said SHE was diabetic, the original post mentions her fathers diabetes.

To find changes that I could live with forever because there isn't an end date.

I don't think that's entirely what is happening here. 1, depending on how much you have to lose, eyeballing is fine. I lost my first 50lbs eye balling before I bought a scale. I think yes, she should tighten up by weighing and accurately logging, however, there are more things that come into play. Water retention for…

Okay, so Jiffy pizza dough mix balls up nicely and you can fry at home, and control your toppings. My family LOVES these donuts. I'll roll them in cinnamon and sugar, make a peanut butter glaze, maple glaze, a basic royal icing, whatever. It's easier to control the portions and they are so good, especially warm

XD that is excellent logic though...

My OB, who delivered all 3 of mine, prescribes the following diet for the first trimester: "Does it sound like it will stay down". Seriously. Maintenance or as best you can first trimester, 200-300 extra second trimester, 500 extra third. But beware, once you're big and giant towards the end there just isn't room and it's…

You're pretty close to where your original goal was. Are you happy here? Once you hit 80, what are your plans? Are you going to go back to old ways or have you made enough of a lifestyle that you can maintain at 80? I used the high end of normal BMI for my initial target weight. Since puberty, I have been either overweight…

Are you exclusively breast feeding? Or is your little getting some solids? Bottles? When your baby gets a bottle, are you pumping that feeding? How many calories to add is going to start there. I added 500 a day while exclusively nursing, and once she started getting solids, I made it around 250-300, depending on my…

It took 50 pounds for me to even start to notice it, 60 for me to actually feel smaller. Progress pics and measurements are your go to.

How do you know you're eating below 1000? Are you weighing out everything you eat? Every time I have talked to someone who was eating less than 1000 calories a day and didn't contemplate eating their hand at least 7x a day was eating more than they thought. To answer your question as accurately as possible, we need to know…

I like a big green salad with a weighed out protein. Today, I had mixed greens and some homemade pico de gallo with 120g sirloin strip, shredded Monterrey jack, some guac, and lime juice for the dressing. Came in around 420, with the protein making up the bulk of it. But agreed. Play with it. I'm also less hungry when I am…

100 calorie popcorn. I also like fiber one for something sweet.

You can run if you were running before, just listen to your body and don't push it too hard. Ask your doctor for a referral for a dietitian who works with pregnant women. In the US its typically only the extremely obese that are recommended to lose weight, so we can't give you too much advice.

A friend of mine who was a low end of normal body weight gained 6lbs in pregnancy, and had a 6lb 5oz baby. He had all kinds of problems for the first couple months, blood sugar was one, maintaining his own body temperature was another. Things you expect to see in premies, not babies that are 10 days late.
-
Not only losing hair, brittle nails... if you're not taking in enough calcium your body will make sure the baby gets all it needs, at the expense of your bone mass. Which can set you up for rough golden years I started my last pregnancy at 190, I set my MFP to maintenance which was around 1900 for me. I moved as I could,…

I'm similar - my whoosh always happens right before my period. I'll nickle and dime the rest of the month, hit a new low a day or so before my period starts, then bloat again. I have noticed that when I am on point though, the low weight I hit before my period is about what I can expect my trend to end up at the following…

"I'll give up because I can't find any information to back up my claims from peer reviewed sources". We're not trying to be jerks. You're spreading bad information. It will help OP as much as it will help you to debunk it. Sure, if I eat late at night when I weigh in in the morning it won't be the same as what it would be…

Start with seeing the doctor, and see what he thinks. If he is concerned, then maybe talk to your ex. I agree that it should be more along the lines of "hey the doctor brought it up, I could only speak for my house. This is what I am going to do to fix things at my house, I hope you guys will consider doing something at…

Shoot sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night hungry, make a snack, and go back to sleep. Still losing weight. Does this mean I'm a snowflake? The special kind.
-
No, it won't be part of the issue at all.
-
Ignore this. You can drink alcohol, though it may cause a little weight retention via water. You can eat any time you want. Your body can't tell time and doesn't stop functioning at a certain time.
-
Popcorn. You can air pop it and control your additives and eat a bunch before it amounts to much. I'm lazy and just buy the 100 calorie bags. It's still like 4 cups and helps that urge to om nom nom nom in the middle of the night.

I went up 4, still up 2 as of right now. Went kind of crazy the last couple weeks of the month and didn't really track, so I'm not complaining too much. I'm also walking into HOLD ALL THE WATER phase of my cycle, so keeping that in mind as well.
